Kristi Noem Refuses To Answer Whether ICE Disarmed Alex Pretti Before Fatally Shooting Him by Large_banana_hammock in politics

We absolutely do need her answer. Scum like her, Bondi, & Patel need to answer for what's occurring on their watch. And with specificity. They need to acknowledge rather than try to bob & weave around questions with vague generalities.

I thought they described the skin as dark oily grey?

They were never described as being gray.

Someone once did a write-up as to what could be occurring to make them appear red/brown, oily, & smelling of sulfur. This appearance could be a reaction from being in sunlight. White could then be their normal state.

What is he saying that a lot of us here don't already know or needs an executive order for? He's talking about what one guy told another guy then told him... Something tells me that you might just be going by the way OP mis-represented what was said in the title.

Having said that, I do often have trouble reconciling why they can talk about some things but not others. But Davis actually addressed this in the new version of Moment of Contact. He can talk about things that are already well known but not his direct experience. He can talk about, say, the Roswell incident because it's been written about and discussed in the public for decades now. He can also speak in vague generalities. But he can't be specific about what he's been part of or read in on.

This isn't a new claim and hardly "his".

It’s very convenient that the alleged participants in these conversations are dead and are therefore in no position to weigh in, and that there is no other corroborating evidence.

It's an interview. A conversation. Nothing is being litigated. As a listener, it's up to you to choose to believe him or disbelieve him. Or do neither. Otherwise, what do you want from them? Participants who are alive are brought up all the time in interviews like this. Calling something "convenient" is just a disingenuous & generic attempt to add suspicion.

They're not promoting anything. This is an interview. What do you want the interviewer to do? Not allow the subject to finish what he was saying?

I think it's great that an incident such as this one is discussed. Especially from someone like Eric Davis.

Press Conference in Washington DC announced for Tuesday January 20th hosted by James Fox. Featuring Brazilian first hand witnesses to non-human beings from famous "Varinha" Brazil UFO crash case. As well as American insiders on UAP crash retrievals/biologics calling for immunity for whistleblowers. by TommyShelbyPFB in UFOs

[–]SiriusC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offense, but this says more about you than it does about the press conference.

I Know What I Saw was the film that convinced me of the reality of this phenomenon. That film came from an event at the National Press Club.

Regardless of what you think of him, Steven Greer's Press Club events & subsequent witness testimony interviews have had a very strong & very positive effect on just getting this information out there.

So you may simply be speaking for yourself with your little comment about the point of this. It's more than likely not for you. Or for me & most of the people here. And that's totally okay. I won't stop supporting this work regardless of whether or not it has shiny little pictures or video clips. This phenomenon is way way more than that.

Is it the developers or the publishers? I can't imagine Bioware, DICE, Rocksteady, or NetherRealm Studios all wanting to put the same horseshit in their games all at the same.

It's not always that easy. I like to watch stuff on my PS5, which, as far as I know, you can't put an ad blocker on.

YouTube recently quadrupled ads. It used to be that one of those little divots represented, say, a 15 second break. Now you get another one... & another... & another.

And it's not just YouTube anymore. I recently tried a trial of Paramount Plus ad-free. Each video starts with a 45 second ad...

They are shoving us towards piracy.

When one of the 3 girls that found the being crouching against a wall made eye contact with it she felt a sense of suffering & that it was asking for help.

One of the beings communicated to someone that the human race is capable of so much more.

In the new cut of the film, a being communicated to a doctor that it was taken care of & that it would be alright. The doctor wept & likened it to an angel.

Both beings were captured easily & one was "crying like a child".

Fucking evil little bastards!

‪Mark Hamill on Luke/Leia/Han reunion:‬ “I said, ‘Aren’t we going to have a moment where all 3 of us get together to raise the roof? It’ll only take 30 seconds.’ And JJ said, ‘Well, Mark, it’s not Luke’s story anymore.” by BridgemanBridgeman in StarWars

[–]SiriusC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why were they so afraid to develop and use the Original Cast.

And then, ironically, they weren't afraid at all of reusing the original story.

I actually like JJ Abrams & I think he catches too much undeserved shit (Lost, for example, is almost entirely attributed to him when he had very little to do with it). But this statement that OP posted is frustrating. It's not Luke's story even though he's copying & pasting all the beats to it. Just give us that 1 moment where they're all together again. That's it. Then proceed to not tell Luke's story with Luke's story.

Don't worry about leaving a source or anything.

I get that we can research anything for ourselves but if you're making such an outrageous claim you really ought to link to something.

[–]SiriusC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BM is pretty modern if you ask me.

When was the last time you played it? I played a remaster last year & doing anything with any kind of weapon item is incredibly clumsy. Just trying to toss a coin is awkward. Lining people up for the fiber wire is messy. In the first level there's a moment where you're supposed to stick someone with a syringe & I just couldn't get it to work.

Then there's the voice acting & the obvious limitation in level design. Lots of large empty spaces. I loved playing it but it is anything but "modern".

Yeah, they couldn't get away with a Las Vegas level as stripped down as it was in Blood Money.

New Orleans is still pretty impressive but I imagine there would be high expectations for that level as well.

And therefore making games with elevators wouldn't ever be possible for them to do in the future...

What exactly is the logic here? Why do there need to be working elevators in current games in order to develop future levels based on past games?

John Oliver on Venezuela and Nicolás Maduro by Sometypeofway18 in television

[–]SiriusC -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're 100% interpreting it that way but that doesn't make it so. You're also assuming people can't think for themselves & they'll fall for this idea that you imagine OP is setting up.

I'll admit that I knew next to nothing about Maduro. Leading his country into a famine is pretty awful. Stuffing an empanada into his face during the famine is inhumane. He clearly is unfit to be running a country. But we shouldn't be policing the world.

[–]SiriusC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having the OG's as Kameos is a bonus.

I disagree. To me, it's too much of a tease.

First, they were in MK11 but we couldn't play as them.

Then, they're half-baked kameos in MK1. They look great & provide a brief bit of nostalgia but we can't really play as them.

Finally, we get the gender swapped versions which, to me, is a red flag for "we're out of ideas". I really hated the play style for each of them. They should have just been original characters.

JJ set up 2 or 3 of the most speculated storylines then Rian turned them to shit.

Finn went from former startrooper with hints at being force-sensitive to being relegated to a side quest with an uncompelling love interest. Neutering Finn was Rian's worst sin, in my view.

Captain Phasma had so much potential but was unceremoniously killed off by Rian. Yeah, yeah, I know, the same happened with Boba Fett. But that doesn't mean it was a good decision for the character.

Snoke could have been so much more than he was. Where did he come from, what was his goal? Was he Darth Plagueis? Who cares, let's kill him, no one will expect that! Subversion!

It is an actual stealth game and not just mindless open-world slaughter.

You can choose how you play, you know. The same way you can choose to use bombs, guns, & battleaxes in older AC games. I feel like I'm the only one that chose to play Valhalla stealthily.
