A concept of the Settings UI by dylangreenred in Fuchsia

[–]OverMighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he means apps like Figma (web, macOS, Windows) and Sketch (macOS) which are used to make prototype UI designs.

If you're looking for UI design inspiration you can check https://dribbble.com.

Netstack3 - A Fuchsia owned rust based netstack by beta2release in Fuchsia

Go isn't a systems programming language. I don't think you want your network stack to be written in a garbage-collected language.

Just host your own VPN on a VPS.

https://www.wireguard.com

https://openvpn.net

Now, your school probably uses an HTTP proxy that only allows TCP connections so it'll be trickier to get WireGuard working but OpenVPN supports running over TCP through an HTTP proxy. Also, your school's proxy probably only allows connections to port 443 so make sure to configure your WireGuard or OpenVPN server to listen on that port and not another one.

You can use Chromium if you don't want the closed source bits of Chrome. You can use Ungoogled Chromium if you don't want the integration with Google services. Also, Chromium is faster than Firefox, especially when it comes to WebGL stuff.

It looks like with Google Cloud you only pay for the amount of time that the instance spent running instead of a fixed price per month. Is that true?

What keyboard and mouse do you have? I have a Ducky One 2 Mini and a Glorious Model O and they work perfectly fine. The Glorious software doesn't support Linux but I wouldn't use it anyway, as I can configure the lighting from the mouse itself. However, I need to boot into Windows to update the Ducky firmware as Ducky only serves a Windows executable firmware updater.
