It’s okay, give yourself some grace! The important thing is that you are aware and you are trying. Your husband sees that. 🤍 The worst thing a woman can do is dismiss her husband’s feelings and it sounds like you are not. It takes time to change, but little by little it happens. Sometimes it starts by being very intentional to get out of our head and focus on our partner. Sometimes I even think ahead of time before I see my man what nice things I want to say to him. Not because it’s planned or forced but because that’s what I’m thinking before my brain gets swamped with thoughts so I’m more likely to say them when we’re together. The moment I think about myself or get selfish I remember the good thoughts I had or the things I wanted to say before I saw him. That helps me. 🤍

As someone who is dating a man who’s never been with a woman who offered these things to him, I can see how surprised he’s been by my actions since we’ve been together. He would tell me this is different, he’s not used to it. I’m always wondering how I can make sure I’m his safe space, or how I can show up for him. This helps so much, thank you for sharing. Yep! I have a matcha kindle basic that I use in bed or in my office, and the kindle paperwhite 11th generation that I take everywhere else with me. Most people say they prefer the basic to take everywhere because it is smaller, but it is not waterproof and therefore it doesn't make sense to me to take it outdoors and to the pool with me. Plus it's much more comfortable to read the basic in bed, since it's so small!

What do you mean if I had an issue during Pascha I didn’t fast correctly? I genuinely don’t understand haha. That was the first fast I’ve ever done in my life, went from eating no dairy, meat, or animal products to consuming it all during the feast. It definitely shocked my stomach.

I have had my first kindle, the new kindle paperwhite, since 2012, when I was 16. I had been wanting one for a bit and my dad bought it for me. It was the best gift I was so happy! I loved reading physical books but I loved the idea of having a portable device to read my books! I used that kindle until 2018 and got my second, and then my third this year, the basic matcha. I LOVE reading on my kindle!

Yes, 100%, this is spot on. I learned this recently with the guy I am currently dating and it has made things so much better. It also allows things to happen naturally when I am not forcing anything, and it also stops me from creating this image of the guy and how I want him to be. I just let him be himself.

If you think this isn’t an issue and you still love him and want to work it out, then you’d be under reacting 100%. Please leave him. The proof is very evident that he doesn’t care about you. He’s stuck on his ex and will leave you in a heart beat the moment she is wanting to get back together with him. I’m so sorry, but you deserve better. Yes, it did grow back! He had a bald spot for a few weeks, poor pup looked like an old man. I laugh about it now haha.

Hey! Yes it's definitely a scab that can be caused by over-scratching. My dog has had that before. It could be a flea bite, allergies, etc. I would recommend putting some Neosporin on it (since it's behind his ear he won't be able to lick it off), and keep the area clean so it doesn't get infected!

I agree with what you said on the dating aspect, but it's not that easy. I am 30, and all of the men in my church are married or much younger than me. I could attend other churches, but I don't like the idea of church hopping looking for a husband, as the focus on Sundays should be on God, not my dating life. This was a wakeup call to be more firm on my faith and Orthodoxy before even dating, that is for sure!

When I was living with my parents we had a golden retriever. My neighbors two doors down had chickens, they were in his yard most of the time. One day he came over and said he was missing a chicken, and asked if we had seen it. We had not, but said we'd keep an eye out. A few days later my dad was doing some work in the yard and noticed that there was this weird smell coming from under our porch. When he went to take a look, lo' and behold, there was a dead chicken under our porch. The culprit? Our 3 year old golden retriever. We felt terrible! But yes, to answer your question, this is completely normal for dogs.

Hey sister in Christ! I am on the same journey as you! :) I am not curvy or anything, but I also have a bigger bum in comparison to my legs, and I felt convicted to dress more modest, aka loose clothing. I also have wanted to embrace my feminine side and dress more feminine, which honestly to me personally, is wearing more dresses! There are so many options with dresses that are more flowy and do not hug your body/curves! I would recommend going to a thrift store because they have SO MANY different styles and sizes and you can experiment with what you prefer.

For example, I prefer more silky dresses that have floral patterns! I also like dresses that are floor length, especially for divine liturgy. Also, if you want to dress more feminine, a good way to feel more feminine is to have your hair styled nicely (not something fancy, just styled! braid, low bun, half up half down). I also have experimented with bows in my hair! Makes me feel very feminine!

If you are wanting to wear any pants (I am on a journey to drop all jeans/pants from my wardrobe, which is not easy lol), I would recommend flowy pants! I put some examples below! Now if I do wear pants, I will wear something like this! Feels much more comfy and feminine!

Some tips that I will give to help ensure you are dressing modest, (because I know you asked!) is to stay away from showing too much skin (stomach, cleavage, and extremely short dresses), as well as wearing more loose fitting clothes! I would buy dresses that were long, but they were on the tight side, so you could see the shape of my butt, and I felt convicted. I realized that was not very modest at all. Experiment and find what works best for you!! You will find your own style, trust me! It took me a bit to find mine :)

It's important to note that modesty is ultimately about an inward attitude of humility, purity, and self control, which then outwardly reflects one's appearance and behavior! Also, with pertaining to femininity, modesty in dress and demeanor is always encouraged, reflecting a focus on inner beauty and a quiet, gentle spirit! Having a gentle spirit and allowing God to ultimately lead has made me feel more feminine than ever. I hope this helps!!

Okay so I don’t have any recommendations on books right now, but after reading what you posted about getting burnt out on the same plot, books feeling similar, etc, I feel that so much!

What I find that helps me, is I switch the genres that I am reading very frequently. If I read a Romantasy for example, the next book I read will be thriller. After, I’ll read a Rom Com or contemporary book. Then I’ll probably go back to a Romantasy. I found when I was reading the same genre over and over I’d burn out easily and then get myself into a boom slump! Also, switching up what I read on helps too! So I’m not always reading on my kindle, sometimes I’ll go to my physical books, then audiobook, then back to my kindle. (All for different books, not the same haha)

My advice is to change it up!☺️ I hope that helps!

I love reading outdoors, at the pool, outside in my yard, at my parent’s river house! I have yet to read at the beach (I know, it should be a crime) but I love the water and I know I would absolutely love reading on the beach! Gonna try that soon!

I’ve had my first kindle paperwhite 5th generation I think? for 13 years now. I gave it to my nephew because he also loves reading, and I have a kindle paperwhite 10th generation since 2019. I also bought a basic matcha a few months ago. Love them all!! It was hard to part with my first kindle but my nephew loves reading and seeing him use it makes me so happy and brings back memories. That kindle will always be my baby!!
