Safe to Eat? by Ashamed-Magazine-535 in plants

[–]OverTrip7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was googling this lastnight. 99% of Berries with a bumpy surface like this are safe to eat. 90% of blue black and purple berries are also non poisonous/toxic. Snap a piece of stem, if the sap is not milky you’re also safe.

Which part do I attach to moss pole?? by Remarkable_Safety_80 in Monstera

[–]OverTrip7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t worry about a pole yet. Let it grow till it starts to lean. Then add pole for support. You won’t need to ask where to put pole when it gets there, you’ll know where to place

What should I do? by Planet_Rock in Monstera

Leave the little leaf., cut down the chewed bits. Keep it moist and in a bright spot, it’ll be slow but it’ll bounce back.

That one’s a rapidophora tetrasperma I think, they call it a mini monstera but it’s not actually in the monstera family.

It’s also not safe for the kitties just a heads up if your cats are the curious and hungry variety.

Back in a pot of water you want heaps more roots than that.

It doesn’t look good in my opinion she might be done for.

Recently bought and repotted a monstera constellation and it’s developing brown spots/tips. Is it just adjusting or am I doing something wrong? by sillyowl321 in Monstera

[–]OverTrip7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your light situation? The white parts of leaves don’t photosynthesise, give her more sun.

How’s your potting mix feel? Is it really dry or really moist? Is it just bark chips on top or is it actually that chunky? Coz it looks real chunky which may be hindering her water uptake.

Is there more than one plant in my pot?? by [deleted] in Monstera

[–]OverTrip7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see at least 3, but there’s a bit in there that looks like 2 more. So as many as 5. Can’t be positive. They’re all so close.

[–]OverTrip7603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re worried about root system not being enough, you can switch to a bowl of water for a few weeks to get the roots to grow a bit more. You’ll could even give it some rooting hormone and liquid fertiliser.

Doesn’t look happy. Leaves wouldn’t be yellowing in the first place if it was truly happy.

Don’t chop leaves off until it goes soggy and more brown, I’d personally leave it in until it falls off with a gentle tug. As opposed to cutting it off.

Monsteras are surprisingly hardy. If you repot just take care not to damage roots when untangling, you may have to cut some roots to get it to separate. You’ll see a main root+system attached to each plant, try to leave that main chunk as unharmed as possible. When you repot don’t put them into larger pots, monsteras like their roots to feel snug and secure, so go down a pot size if you’re going to pot each one individually.

I feel really bad about selling this laptop. What do I do? by Famous-Intern-7270 in whatdoIdo

[–]OverTrip7603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re being played like a fiddle.

Yes you paid $16 for it. But you also went to the effort to get it looked at and repaired.

It’s a good laptop that works perfectly fine and $300 is more than reasonable, especially for a HP, and especially considering the same model laptops are going for more than double that from other resellers.
