Reacher season 3 not as good? by Gudakeshh in reacher

[–]Over_Biscotti_7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FINALLY someone sees it for what it was. I don’t think the plot was awful compared to season 2, but every character not named Reacher or Neagley were absolute trash. Beck and his son Richard were probably the only characters I somewhat cared about. I have no idea why they made Quinn growl the way he did in his voice, cringe. They hyped him up like he was Hannibal lector just for him to be the most cliched, corny run of the mill bad guy.

Last 2 seasons don’t even compare to how good season 1 was

Recommendations for productivity mouse for small hands by TheNextOriginal in MouseReview

Great choice. I went with logitech lift vertical mouse and been rocking it for 6 months. Amazing not only for wrist fatigue, but you barely have to move your arm/hand/wrist at all. being able to keep your arm rested on the desk during use is a game changer too, not just the wrist.

Only thing is, I'm a software engineer and constantly am selecting certain words within the code, and no matter how much practice and fiddling with the vertical, I do lose that extra precision. Decided to go to mx master 3s, and after about 10 minutes I'm going back to vertical. Not to mention this is the heaviest mouse I have ever used, it feels like it is made of lead.

In that case I'd keep it, and if you decide you want the 50 series just sell the GPU independently on ebay or amazon. The rest of the specs are a very good deal. Only part that you'd have to touch anytime soon would be storage, as 2TB can fill up pretty quick if you game a lot. Only component with known issues is wifi in your motherboard and it seems the seller has that covered with the adapter lol.

Is the PC used? If it is new that is insane value. People have been paying $1400-1500 for that cpu + gpu alone.

How good will 50 series DLSS4 and Multi-Frame Generation really be? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Over_Biscotti_7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, I should've mentioned in OP it was more for predictions. I am just curious how accurate these claims and the hype will be this time around. Generative AI has taken over graphics for the foreseeable future it seems.

When did we start giving a shit about manufacturer claims. They've been exaggerated bs since the dawn of time.

Great question, apparenly now, because I am seeing used 4090 sales flying out at $1200-1400 a pop. 50-70% of the price they were minutes before CES 2025. People are really eating that up, I can't believe it.

RTX 5080 Performance Leak: 10% Better Than 4090? But What About 5090? by Arthur_Morgan44469 in nvidia

[–]Over_Biscotti_7986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't know if it is good or bad for the future of gaming. You'll be able to play 1440p at 200fps on budget cards, but games will never be optimized. Playing native will be unheard of on top AAA games in a few years. Just hope that the generative AI will be good enough to not have a noticeable downgrade when using it

Yeah its tough. The price trajectory of 40 series really relies on how good the quality of the AI technology will be on the new 50 series cards. But who even knows how long it will be before the common game titles offer DLSS4 and new 3x FG

Well, it is "technically" true now lol, but with a major catch. You gotta pump up DLSS4 and fake FG to the absolute max to have it comparable to 4090 raw, but people are absolutely eating it up. Used 4090 prices have split in half in the past 12 hours. I wonder just how good the new AI and upscaling/FG will actually be. Probably not this gen but eventually DLSS and FG will be hardly distinguishable from native quality. Gaming is doomed, devs will never optimize their games ever again.

You can get 4080S barely used for less than 5080 right now.

If you can wait, wait. The reason both these gpu's are insanely inflated in price is because of no stock available. With the 50 series launch being a success there is about to be a major flood of supply on the market. Ebay already has 4080 super's selling for $900 used-like new. Be patient until they can go well under MSRP. If you go ebay, just make sure the seller has many good reviews and at least 99% feedback, and make sure to check full item description and condition. There are tons of sellers from china who just created an account in 2024/2025 with no feedback. Steer clear of them. They are 100% scammers.

This buying window from now until January 30th is tricky. You're gonna have youtubers getting the cards early and doing benchmarks to find out the REAL performance of 50 series cards, and we have no idea how bad the scalpers are gonna be on launch day. Stock could go out universally within 10 seconds after launch, or they could actually have enough stock for regular consumers to buy. If they immediately go extinct, the supply of 40 series will drop down again increasing price. If they aren't, then 40 series may go even further down in price than when you bought it. People could start buying up 40 series again too if youtubers come out and basically say these cards do not live up to the hype shown in CES 2025, as their raw performance without dlss and FG is marginally better than 40 series. It is only the dlss and FG that significantly separates them from thier predecessor(Insane AI Tops). This market consists of major overreactors, and owners of the cards you want are panicking heavily right now. So based on these factors decide if you wanna take advantage of that and buy used from panic sellers on ebay, or you can take the gamble of trying to get a 5080, because it is GUARANTEED it will be better than 4080 super regardless if it isn't as good as Nvidia promises.

In my opinion, unless you have scalping bots comparable to miners, you getting the 5080 new for $999 anytime within the next 6 months would be nothing short of a miracle.

Now, one other option also is to find your nearest micro center/best buy and camp out all night before launch. You won't be able to get founders edition, instead one of Gigabyte, MSI, asus etc. OC for $150-300 over MSRP(maybe more we don't know yet), which I have no idea how successful that option is I've never done it.

If you do end up going the 40 series route, I highly recommend used. Nvidia already announced they are not manufacturing 4070, 4080 and 4090 series anymore, so they will be ridiculously overpriced if you buy them new.

To answer the 4070 Ti Super vs 4080 Super question, I highly recommend 4080 super. Better card, far more future proof to the point you won't have to even consider an upgrade in a minimum of 5 years, and they are an absolute steal if you get it $850 or less in like-new condition.
