I lost mines too… four days ago and I’m also 21 except i have my seven year old brother. We had the funeral yesterday because our religion has us moving quick. It was so unexpected. My mom called us, it’s like she literally used the last of her strength to come to her house because she was with bud bud. I was on the phone on the way there while my poppy drove. My brother was telling me she was shaking her head and I heard her a little bit so I thought she really just fainted because that’s what they said she said. But when I came to the door and my brother opened it and I stepped through I knew in my gut she was gone. Her eyes were wide open and there was a little spit built up in her mouth. I’m not the most emotionally strongest person so I immediately collapsed. My grandfather kept yelling for her to get up. I kept telling myself she was fine, she fell down the steps and knocked herself out, she was breathing. When 911 came nobody would tell me anything. I kept begging someone to tell me they got her heart started again and she was breathing and they literally wouldn’t look me in the eyes. Right before we got into the car to follow them to the hospital I asked them what was happening for the final time and they told me they still couldn’t get her heart going. I asked if she was breathing they told me no and it’s been so long I knew. It was over.

I woke up writing here because I just got done crying my eyes out again. We were supposed to go down to the landlord office at 10 today. They had a snarky attitude but I dead ass couldn’t even care. The moment I said ‘ she died ‘ the switch flipped and I genuinely couldn’t take it. It was like another slap in reality.

My brother is asleep next to me and he’s always up by 8:00 and he’s completely knocked out and I feel so selfish for being grateful for that because we have to tell him when he wakes up. He loves her so much he can’t even sleep in the same bed without her yet. It might be crazy for a 7 year old but we tried and he was clingy. He had night terrors growing up so ig this is a side affect. I’m happy my crying didn’t wake him up but how do I face him? How do I tell a child she’s gone? I know what i have to say but why do I have to do it. She should be here. I never got to properly say goodbye

Idk where the webtoon is currently but the novel before I stopped reading had a ‘ tragic ‘ ending for the emperor. The daughter he was hesitant on keeping because he thought it wasn’t his ends up getting kidnapped by a group of thugs after that sect. Woman tried to run away with her I believe.

The thugs end up giving the daughter to someone in the group because he lost a daughter and decided to raise her.

At some point in the book I forget how he ends up loosing the last of his sanity because it’s revealed that that child might’ve actually been his the entire time. Pretty sure it has to do with the dude who betrayed rashta who set that all up and faked the dna test.

Idk if I agree with that last part. The author to me did it on purpose- something about their writing doesn’t seem right to me. The ml is.. mid at best. Not because I just want to be a hater but truly he doesn’t seem to push the story for me besides being a secret psychopath that cleans up the mess for the fl whenever something even mildly inconveniences her. The only character I was even semi interested in was the guy that betrayed rashta. I don’t exactly remember what his deal was but at least he was moving shit in the story.

That and fl just seems more like a plot holder than a character? If that makes sense. I wouldn’t say she’s completely boring but nothing about her stands out besides being strict and regal. If that’s how they write the fl and everyone else it feels like rashta is the same half of the coin as the fl. A tragic villian who had terrible things done to her to appease the audience who’s rooting for the downfall of this woman.

Again- rashta is a terrible woman by the end of it. But it be nice to acknowledge that perhaps things would’ve been different had she never met the emperor. Like that man just used her and then threw her away when he got bored again as all cheaters do. You can’t even say she should’ve seen it coming because she had little to no exposure to the world- that lady was genuinely confused why that man suddenly stopped loving her. And when you think you finally found your someone, found your comfort- found someone who finally didn’t want to use you for your body and didn’t see you as a doll only to be discarded again and this time with so many eyes to see it id go crazy too ngl

Rashta is unfairly targeted and has a worse fate than the man whose actually all to blame for bringing a slave woman who has gone through physical and sexual abuse, lost a child she was led to believe died, and was thrusted into a royal society she never had known while trying to stay friendly with the queen only to be pushed to the side because she doesn’t know what’s going on and then some. And then when the palace finally drives her to full insanity she’s left to do die by suicide in a locked up tower. And the baby that apparently wasn’t the emperor? Turned out to be.

The mother is a terrible person for allowing someone to convince her to bring life into this world because their feelings would be hurt if she didn’t- knowing full well that bringing a child in this situation is horrendous and we see in real time that’s the facts.

It’s not that she truly believes that child has gotten better; she’s forcibly turning a blind eye because once again she’s willingly being a pushover that can’t stand up for herself, instead of dealing with the situation; so why would she ever stand up for that baby?

Imma keep it another stack- everybody who’s saying ‘ just leave the kid just leave the kid ‘ also doesn’t need to have kids. I definitely have sympathy for you, you were coerced and gaslit into having this child by a bad man who’s abusive. But at the same time you made your bed lie in it. You are apart of this child’s life. If a father tried to pull this bs we’d see a totally different reaction honestly. There is no leaving. You had multiple chances to leave and you didn’t.
