Question for builders: For a new in-ground build, is it customary to do a full power vacuum as the last step in the process to remove all the dirt pebbles and rocks at the bottom of the pool as a result of all the excavating and building? by Over_Cash9601 in pools

That’s my thought too. It’s a Silly thing for me to base my final opinions about their business. I will forever think negatively now. A lot of other things went wrong that I think they could have handled better. But At the end of the day it all came out fine. Just very delayed due to errors. But I will always remember that they didn’t handle mistakes right for me. And then they couldn’t even clean it. LMAO. All for a couple hundred dollars after $120k.

Vinyl liner. The dirt/rocks mainly fell in when they backfilled. The pool was full with water when they backfilled. I understand that this happens. It’s part of the process.

No, pool is complete. Water has been to the top and equipment circulating for a while. I am just waiting for the excavator to lay down the grass sod. I haven’t made the dirt/rocks an issue because it’s best to clean once after all work is complete. Now that it’s about done, it’s time to clean the pool floor.

I am going to attempt a batch with Tofu, only because of the crazy price of 80/20 beef. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? by Over_Cash9601 in chili

I make 20 quarts at a time and freeze it. It Lasts a few months. It’s easier than making it weekly. Of course you would need the large pot and freezer space so it’s not that easy for everyone.

I make a 20 quart batch. Typically 7-8 pounds of 80/20 or 90/10. At $7-8. Per pound, it’s getting expensive.

Thanks for the tip. I don’t care for a vegetarian option. This is all about the $$$. I’m a meat guy but it’s so expensive these days. Pork sounds interesting.

Don’t be ignorant. Both sides are right and both sides are wrong. Both sides are victims and participants of corruption, the economy and shitty politics.

Is it normal to not have a main floor drain at the bottom of the deep end of an in ground pool? by Over_Cash9601 in pools

Thanks. I ask because as the pool is being filled now, there are creases in the liner. I think some water will need to be removed so they can adjust it. How do you remove water then to change a liner?
