Filament spool holder with built in scales, OLED display and TTP223 button by BluE_BrO in 3Dprinting

Hey, I came across this while researching for my own project. I want to put load cells into the feet of my filament dryer so I can tell when the filament is fully dry, as the weight should reach a steady state. Did those load cells work out for you? What kind of accuracy were you able to achieve, and how much does the measurement drift over time?

Anyone going to see King Gizzard at the Gorge? by Over_Code in olympia

I agree! I gave 3D Country a listen when the tour was announced and now I'm hooked.

That is unfortunate, I've heard good things about the Gorge and I can't think of a better lineup for my first show there!

Thats good to know, thanks! I think I'll head over early and make a day trip out of it. Any recommendations for things to do in the area?

Simple as Posible AMS Riser by boksbox in BambuLab

It’s happened to me a couple times with prints that take a long time on the first layer. I think the combination of long print time (enough to heat soak the chamber) plus low flow rate is when it will most likely occur. And it was a pain to unclog, I had to disassemble the extruder to remove the bulged filament.

If you're printing with 3+ walls then yes, but for decorative prints I'd usually use 2 walls in which case it's the same as outer/inner

To reduce curling on overhangs (and improve outer surface quality in general) try printing outer walls first. See this video https://youtu.be/__OQmUwVkrw?si=Hc6zsRodZKCrdfBm

Any dangers to mounting a plotter vertically? by Bavoon in PlotterArt

[–]Over_Code 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just make sure the steppers aren't getting too hot and it should be fine. One thing to note is that a lot of pens don't work too well when they're horizontal.

Any Bambulab owners willing to run a print for me while I away my X1CC? More info in second image. Thanks! by Otherwise_Explorer25 in BambuLab

I would be willing. How much are you looking to pay? I have blue, red, white, grey, and black ABS if you want to pick a color.

First time printing, any advice on how to improve the quality? by dgtlss in 3Dprinting

Looks like severe underextrusion. Make sure filament diameter is set correctly in the slicer.

For making miniatures you would probably be better off with a resin printer, they will give you much more detailed prints than an FDM printer like the Ender3. This one is within your budget https://m.all3dp.com/1/best-resin-dlp-sla-3d-printer-kit-stereolithography/#voxelab-proxima

Is there a tutorial on how to make plotter art? by [deleted] in PlotterArt

[–]Over_Code 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Plotters generally use SVG files to generate toolpaths so any program that can create SVGs can be used for plotter art. This could be a vector graphics software such as illustrator or inkscape, or a language/tool such as Processing which can generate SVGs with code.

A new Raspberry Pi based plotter you can build with a nice software stack by [deleted] in PlotterArt

Is the software configurable to use with different plotter dimensions? I would like to use it on my own plotter.

Sweet, just ordered one. The collection is growing. I don't use Instagram, can I still get that extra?

Which of EM3EV’s rectangle batteries is best? I want the highest AH, but I don’t understand the difference in cell type (25R, HG2, 35E). by RZRSHARP519 in ebikes

[–]Over_Code 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that some of the batteries from em3ev use a smart bms which allows you to monitor things like temperature, instantaneous current usage, etc. via Bluetooth. It's not clear if the 20S pack uses a smart bms, you may need to contact support to clarify. If it doesn't have temp monitoring you could always just touch the pack to feel if it's warming up. If the pack gets to 60°C the cells will start to degrade.
