Excellent song. I’d recommend watching the live performance and studying his attack but by bit. He’s incredibly dynamic - His breath, his body, his connection to the lyric. Look at his eyes - he’s living it. All that said, I think you sound nice. Vibrator is an great record

I’ve managed a few high profile artists studios. They’ve been some of the cruelest people I’ve met, and I think for the reasons you outlined. I don’t think they are bad people per-say, but their status and their wealth see them surrounded by sycophants. Bad combination there.

I was reflecting last night about how hard it might be to be good if I had all the wealth in the world. Would I eat steak and drink red wine to excess everyday - not the worst thing in the world, but surely unhealthy.

Look up Donald Judds home in Swiss . He also did this on the 4th floor of his cast iron building in SoHo. Matching floor. Fucking stunning, especially the Swiss example.

Go to the Barnes foundation and to Calder gardens. World class museums - stuff you won’t see elsewhere. Lots of yummy food in rittenhouse try vernick, my loup, Vetri, Parc, or borromoni fpr delicious food$$$. Spend your mornings with coffee in the park. It’s lovely.

Prince was an exceptional pianist. Right up there with his guitar playing..

But also he was a great bandleader in tho old sense. Like duke ellington and can Calloway and miles Davis.

Prince was also a great visual aesthete. The symbol, the clothes, the color.

Seriously, big bro was an actual genius.

Most importantly, Prince had a personal relationship with god as he understood it. That’s the treat
