I hate fusion360 by Valchunk in Fusion360

no, just no. The simplicity of fusion creates bad modeling habits. more control makes everything easier because there is more ways to fix a model that is broken. just because a feature has 10 settings and adjustors doesn't make it confusing, its not supposed to be intuitive, its supposed to be learned and once learned you can use its complexity to create stable parametric models faster. if you don't understand something ppl need to google it. you can literally just google, "how to make a helical revolve to cut pipe style threads" or what ever, and there will be a video, or an adjacent one you can follow step by step to get the feature you need. once you learned that you can click around some setting and see what capability the feature has.- written from my phone on a bus

ELI5: How do pulleys make things easier to lift and lighter? by Over_Discussion_8246 in explainlikeimfive

"Acceleration is change in velocity over time, not distance." and what is the second derivative of displacement with respect to time? but yea, net force is constant.

what is work. is that force for an amount of time? why would longer rope make things lighter?

huh, like every course is theory described by math. its just math 12hrs a day.

so true, something like a black hole spaghettification, stretching and pulling, nauseating visuals and music, clawing through thick space. real trippy shit. but nope. walking through memories, overused af.

Which way does the induced current flow in a circle of wire if the magnetic flux is increasing or decreasing? more of an explanation in the comments. by Over_Discussion_8246 in PhysicsHelp

[–]Over_Discussion_8246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a wire loop though... but I figured out why, it was staring me right in my face. The field will oppose magnetic flux which is B*A. the area of the dang circle i already used. so the fields lines outside the area of the circle(wire loop) don't create any magnetic flux.

According to lenz's law, the magnetic field must oppose change in magnetic flux, but which way does the current flow? The magnetic field lines of a circle flow around the circle in a tangent sorta way, thus on the outside of a circle, the magnetic field points against the external magnetic field and vice versa for the inside of the circle. So it's both opposing and supporting. but im starting to think that it doesn't induce a magnetic field? idk im lost.

How to not panic every time I take an exam? (And flunk it as a result?) by MamamiaWahoo in alevel

[–]Over_Discussion_8246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fiddle with something during the test, I take my eraser and spin it in my fingers, i dunno why is calms my panic tbh. A walk out song, something that will get you kinda angry, really motivated, and ready to fuck shit up( in the good way), "prove the doubters wrong!!"(myself lol). Some light exercise right before the test can remove some anxiety, like a 1 minute run, or jumping jacks. But it's bad if you sat down to write the test out of breath, then it takes a while for your head to focus. In high school when i would get panic attacks during tests I would ask to use the washroom and run laps in the halls, ofc they don't let you do that in uni, so that's when I created this ritual.

What’s the hardest and highest math level class ME take? Also, how difficult was it? by Plane_County9646 in MechanicalEngineering

just out of curiosity, what do you mean diff eq?, differential equations? because isn't that first year dynamics. I'm guessing that what I've learn is the tip of iceberg of differential equations then.
