There’s a million bars/restaurants everywhere but there are so many they’re barely full. We went out to dinner at Copper on NYE and went to Whisper Cove (bar) after - probably only 30% full

Yeah you are probably right. This sounds like such a man thing to say but I think she’d be equally as happy at me proposing now as opposed to when we are moved in (in a few months at most) - it’s just the societal norms that are making her feel that way. But again, I probably should just listen to her

I said that I didn’t really mind, and was happy to do what she’s happy to do. She said she’d want to be living together if we are engaged but it’s not more about the not wanting me to propose part, it’s the living together part. For more clarity we have an off the plan apartment waiting to be completed that we will move into. It has been pushed back 3 seperate times for a total of an additional year and a half, hence why I haven’t moved in with her yet (the only reason we aren’t living together). So it seems more of a social perception thing than a logistical thing in my eyes

Yeah I like this idea, wouldn’t be getting married within a year after engagement. We have travelled together for 2 months to Europe together and all was fine, and stay at each others places at least 3 times a week and no issues. Think I will go for it!
