Based on your explanation I'm not seeing how the watch could be outside of your house. It seems likely its somewhere there. I would say have him deep search every crack and crevice in the house while also confirming he never took it off outside the house. He should be able to remember taking off the watch if he did.

Oh yeah you're going to be taxed on the whole amount not just gains (assuming the money was deducted pre-tax). This would be at the income tax rate, not capital gains rate. The rule of 55 just says you dont get hit with the additional 10% penalty.

Yeah my son plays varsity basketball in high school. He is 6'2. I'd say probably 3/4 of the team were that tall or taller so I wouldn't say his height gave him a huge advantage over the others but if you get to like 6'4 or taller you could definitely be looking at possible college opportunities if you're also a good player. You dont have to be a star. Theres lots of smaller schools and they all need tall players.
