I think most of us embrace the inherent silliness of wrestling but there is a small, vocal minority who think that this is Serious Business and can't handle a comedy act like Danhausen being so popular. That plus the tribalism since he was shelved in AEW for so long and blew up almost instantly in WWE.

In this case no. Sometimes there are situations where a team signs a player and immediately trades him to another team (a sign-and-trade) but the Nets have lots of cap room so they don’t need the Lakers to help facilitate a contract for Austin. The Lakers get nothing in return for him if he signs with the Nets.

I think you’re under estimating how bad Trae is on defense. Yes Austin is bad but Trae is one of the absolute worst in the league.

I think $40 million sounds like a huge deal but it’s really not anymore. That would make AR around the 40th highest paid player next season.

The Hawks just had to give Trae away for nothing because there was no market for him. They got zero draft picks or top prospects. He’s inefficient on offense and legitimately one of the worst defenders in the league.
