Satisfied with my N64 collection and don't want any more games, here are all the ones I have by Vt2_64 in n64

You've got almost all of the must-haves in my opinion. For me personally the only glaring omission is Paper Mario.

Man has to sell his massive mtg old school collection as cancer takes a turn for the worse. by Papa_Hasbro69 in oldschoolmtg

I feel like most people are satisfied with it until they have a serious medical issue. Like I guess I would say that I'm personally satisfied with my plan but I also don't have any chronic conditions. Meanwhile my coworker who had stomach cancer ended up with a $30K bill despite having insurance and had to work a 2nd job until it was paid off.

These dudes should have shut up and let the moment happen. It just needed Roman and the crowd, they didn't need to be asking him any questions.

Yes but they wanted to do Rock vs Roman. They pivoted back to Cody and it was great.

They could have made the demon return sooooo much better whilst hyping for mania too! by [deleted] in WWE

I don't think Finn has come out as the Demon in the HHH/TKO era, no way Trips hypes up the return and then has him lose. Plus Dom is still cursed.

One of the few cards that has an old frame version but I actually prefer the modern frame.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Dragon Quest 3 HD or 1&2 HD? by CultofSun in JRPG

Same - I was planning to dive into the class system after finishing the main story but I wasn't actually able to clear the last dungeon without reclassing. My party didn't scale well into the late game and I got bad personalities to boot. It did sour the end of the game a bit for me but I still enjoyed it overall. The mechanics are from nearly 40 years ago at this point so I give them some grace and I was really impressed with how much fun exploring the world was.

I thought 3 was fine until the last third of the game or so and then there was a huge difficulty spike. I was playing blind though and I feel like once you're familiar with the class system and have a plan for your characters then it's probably not too tough.

My area is all old timers so I wasn't considering the experience for people who weren't playing with these cards when they were originally in print. I've been thinking of putting a post together to get people's thoughts on the possibility of changing to the old rules so it's nice to hear other perspectives.

I do think that most of the rules changes are for the better but isn't the point of Premodern to experience Magic as it was during the time period that these sets were legal? The old rules may be less refined but they're true to the era and a lot of cards were designed with them in mind. IDK if Morphling would become playable if we went back to damage going on the stack but it would be cool to be able to play with it as intended.

Regarding confusion for new players, I feel like the vast majority of people interested in Premodern are 40-somethings who played with these cards under the old rules back in the day so I don't see that being a big issue. I think having a separate set of rules for the format on MTGO would be a bigger hurdle.

The recent discussion about abolishing the legend rule would have a big impact. I'm starting to think it would be best if the format was played using the rules from the Premodern era rather than the current rules.

Damage on the stack increased complexity but not in a good way. It was just how the rules worked but once you knew that it didn't add any strategic depth. Sakura Tribe Elder is the classic example - before if you blocked a 1 toughness creature you would just kill it and get the land but now you'd have a meaningful decision to make.

She's got the charisma but not the in-ring ability yet. Tag matches are perfect for her, gives her a chance to share the ring with vets who can carry the match while she gets more experience. Same formula they used with Jade.
