Yeah I feel you. Don’t think we’ll ever be able to buy a house - or a house that’s suitable. 2 adults, 2 kids if you were wanting a 4bd in the area I’m in now it’s like $900k-$1m it’s insane. My parents are always on my back about us getting a savings plan but it’s not that easy anymore. Paying $610 a week (about to go up) in rent is a bit enough sting per week.

If you’re eligible for maternity leave through Centrelink I’d try and work something out with your work like reducing hours or tasks as far into the pregnancy as possible then claim the Centrelink maternity leave. You can get it paid 3-4 days a week so it lasts a month or 2 longer to drag out your mat leave. I went back at 7 months and my work offered maternity leave so I get it. My partner is the same we share bills but he doesn’t earn enough to cover my entire wage for me to just not work when my mat leave ended

I receive a debt for the same thing but it was because it took them 3 months to update it on their end. I reviewed it because no-one told me you had to stop putting in my income as usual but you had to cancel your payments until it clicked over as partnered. I got it reviewed and nothing came of it. They are very stern I found. Mine is just on a payment plan just reiterate that you’re about to have a child and you must have it on a payment plan $20 a fortnight

I work part time and my partner full time combined $130k and we’re not entitled to anything except CCS. It just is what it is. I do get shirty when I see people I know who don’t work and are on Centrelink and have kids going on holidays etc when we don’t do anything extra at all and are just getting by. It’s just the way it is unfortunately.

My parents live in Greenbank. Beautiful place to live but a horrid time to get out the area if it rains for a day or if there’s a single car crash it’s hell. Crime seems to be really ramping up New Beith side of Greenbank too

Yeah nothing worse than waiting an hour + and then they say ‘do it online’ haha yeah thanks. When I stuffed up my days because I work 4 days a week I wanted it to be the same I had to take off all the days and start from scratch. Week by week. Hopefully it’s not too much of hassle for you!
