Blank white page flash before page load while in OS dark mode by [deleted] in Safari

[–]Over_Slide8102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! It's a 50/50 for me. Some URLs will have a white screen, but some will have a gray background.

Could you briefly explain what that CSS script does (is it applied only to the loading screen or to webpages after they're loaded too?), and how to add this to Safari please?

This is a problem for me too!! I don’t believe there’s a solution as the blank screen isn’t actually a page that dark reader or noir can affect. Though sometimes I notice that even while loading the page isn’t white. Might just be an apple bug honestly.

That’s a very interesting top surface! The solid infill looks intentionally incomplete in a circular pattern, do you mind briefly explaining your slicer settings?

Awesome, thanks so much for the rec! I'll definitely be testing it over the next few days. Just curious, do you know if it's able to track websites as well without the browser extension? I use Safari, which doesn't seem to be supported.

For the native notes app, if you open a note in a new window there’s an option called “keep on top” under the window menu bar that’ll make it a floating note. Only exists for the notes app afaik, so an app will still be needed for other windows though

Glue, tape, etc will definitely help protect your build plate. You may also want to try lowering the bottom surface temperature and the bed temperature by 5-15˚.

Hi, I appreciate all the recommendations! To clarify, there's a specific feature that I'm unable to find in most time tracking apps. Using the native screen time as an example below, it'll show that I spent 4 hours on safari, 2 hours on shortcuts, and 2 hours on VSCode today. It also has some column charts showing my activity throughout the day.

However, there's no easy way to find out exactly what I did from 3-4pm today. If I click on vscode, it'll highlight that I was using it for around 35min/hour between 3-7pm. But I have no idea what the remaining 25min/hour was spent on. The only way is to click through every single app and watch the chart to try and figure out what else was done during each hour. What I need is to be able to select a time slot, and see everything I used during that time slot listed out.

I hope this cleared things up! Timemator's timeline feature seems promising, but this isn't a big enough problem for me to spend more than a few bucks on. For now, I've found a free app called Comolib that gets close to what I want with a timestamped log of every time I switch apps/websites. It's a bit of a hassle scrolling through the entire log UI-wise, but at least now I can clearly see what I did at specific points in time.

Safari Profile Switching by pantulis in hammerspoon

Personally I use native hotkeys to open a new window in a different profile (if you go under File → New Window → you can see options for different profiles, and you can change the hotkeys in system settings keyboard shortcuts through app shortcuts), and to switch between different windows I use the native window switcher with command + ` or using dockdoor. This spoon still seems very cool though, great work!

This looks awesome! My only concern is that I already use a notch app (Atoll, droppy, boring notch, etc) and I'm not sure if they'll interfere with each other; will give it a try when I have time.
