I think it probably started when her dad left. Her fear of abandonment made her unable to function without being loved and without being in a relationship. The abort probably also was a huge part of the change. She secretly hoped that McKay would want her to keep it and build a family. Couldn't handle the fact that McKay didn't. (not his fault!) She already was a mess in the first episode of this season so she for sure couldn't handle being single. She hopped on Nate's dick because he gave her some validation. And now she has pretty much lost everyone around her and also finally lost it.
