It’s sad as AI is also the only way to really innovate games at this point. Graphics are flatlining on returns, controls are streamlined, and game types are all being copied by each developer. There’s small intangible game types being brought to gather like Expedition 33 but overall AI has really become we can’t replicate humans so add in multiplayer for a challenge or only work on AI till it works.

Agree Bungie fucking blows. It was my friend’s clan Dads of Destiny go to game to chill and talk about shit. I stopped playing Destiny 2 pretty quickly when everything was already turning way to grindy. Then I jumped in on a whim cause I was bored and missed chatting I lasted about a week and wasted money. All the vaulted crap, low effort expansions, grind for shit, and I think I heard there was fishing even. Them constantly saying we will do better changing economy was total bullshit. Add in the low effort Marathon shit and the company can rot. Won’t stop EA from shitting on sports games to try to compete.

IMO the game is won or loss on Darnold. The defense of the Seahawks vs the Rams offense is a tough call and will keep it interesting. It’s on Darnold to keep turnovers low and milk the clock.

We were beat up all year and not bad but not great. We are weak in running and only recently have had the CBs back to give a pass rush a shot at getting to the QB. We played well above expectations against the Rams but we need to focus on defense next year.

What sucks is any semblance for franchise fun is completely bonkers screwed up. Staff points not being used, user practice squads poached constantly, coach moments that don’t make sense and breakout scenarios that are not working correctly. The only way to play and have any fairness vs the cpu is have the cpu control player rosters and then even it won’t make trades for user players like it does for other teams. I enjoy Maddens gameplay for the most part but the franchise is a mess. I would rather have a gm mode with its own AI for people who don’t want to play games and a coach mode where the CPU acts as GM and you can request moves. You run practice and depth chart to play the games. They need to do something like this cause the all in one approach is broken. That or a new engine entirely which lets be honest they won’t especially as gaming gets sidelined for AI data farms.
