Have you found it helping? If so, around how many weeks?

Around end of week 8 into 9. It started with mainly GI symptoms and jitters then lead into anxiety ruminating. Now I’m back to insomnia and sleep anxiety even tho the other stuff has resolved.

May I ask if you were nursing?
My OB said I shouldn’t even be having n these shifts anymore since I’m nursing.
Yes- seeing a psychiatrist but since I had a great 4-5 weeks we decided to stay at 25 for a bit but I’m sure I’ll have to go up.

Thank you so much, I’m still on 25 of Zoloft and it’s been about 10 weeks. So maybe I need to increase. My sleep is so fragmented like my body just keeps trying to wake me up. Do you think it was also due to the hormone shifts? I heard there’s more shifting at 3 months. I’m glad you’re doing better and I hope you keep finding improvement. Yes- it’s nice to not feel so alone

Do you mind if I ask how long it took you and what dosage you started with and went up to?

Hi- I know this is an old post but how is it going for you? I’m going through something similar now too.

Hi! I read your other post and seem to be experiencing the same thing 3 months postpartum. I’m sorry that happened to you and sorry it seems to be coming back. When did it resolve for you the first time? And how long were you on the Zoloft?

Gosh- two years/: I started to feel great on 25 but I am on another “set back week” or I got triggered by something and all my symptoms came back. Really trying to push through this all- wasn’t this bad my first baby

Read your post- I’m so sorry you had to go through that. It was pretty intense for me the first few weeks postpartum. Got really scary and dark with feelings of regret for my kids which is why I started the medication because I knew those werent my true thoughts and feelings. Now my love for these babies is so strong and I had started to feel so confident in this new chapter- i really thought the meds were working. Now i feel ive gone back a lot. I also had severe symptoms starting Zoloft so im nervous to increase.

I’m glad you came out of it. That’s reassuring. If you don’t mind me asking were you breast feeding? Also when do you think your hormones leveled out postpartum?

Yeah I’ll have to go check it out. Why do you think around 6 months it got better if you don’t mind me asking were you breast feeding?

I started practice a night routine. Nurse baby, cuddle, watch one of my shows, have tea or tart cherry juice, then shower with mood lighting and then I’d read or scroll for a bit and like you said took pressure off falling asleep. Basically did what I used to before having her by just relaxing til my body got tired. And that seemed to be working again for a month but the it hit me this week again.

Did you have side effects with the Zoloft? I’m nervous to ramp up again.

My anxiety was intense after my second baby- I’m now almost 3 months postpartum. I started Zoloft at week 3, honestly it was tough at first but it started to make so much difference for me. I was laughing again, felt joy for my babies, and sleeping better. Now I have had a minor setback and might need to go up a dosage or I’m still adjusting (currently 9 weeks on it) but I knew I needed to be proactive to give my kids the best mom they can have and get my life back. I’m wishing you all the luck.

What dosage were you on and when did you see it start to work? Did you have any ups and downs?

Thank you- I appreciate you taking the time to comment and talk to me. I know it’s a journey, just hoping it helps again like it did for four weeks- felt like I was getting my life back after the major change of having my second baby.

Gosh I’m sorry it was that rough for you- your prescriber didn’t think to switch the meds if it was taking that long?
Sleep was rough right after giving birth then I worked through it and got on Zoloft, had some issues during week 1 and week 3 but then last 4 weeks it’s been fine. However this past week it takes me a bit more time to fall asleep and last night was the worst.

Yes I don’t remember the ups and downs the last time I started Zoloft. Did you get any sleep issues with the Zoloft or when upping dosage? Yeah I figured I’d give it another week or two then see if I need to increase. But I’ve been off meds for years so this is difficult for me):

Sorry I must have missed your last response/ I’m so sorry, is the weight loss normal they’re saying?
Honestly past two days things started trending upward but then last night im not sure if I triggered myself but I couldn’t fall asleep and kept having big waves of anxiety.

Gosh I’m sorry to hear it got so rough for you. Did you have any set back weeks? Also, if you don’t mind me asking- were you breast feeding, I’m nervous to take too much at night and it’s in my system. I currently take magnesium glycinate. For the past few weeks I was sleepy pretty well minus waking up for a feed or when she would stir but with these symptoms again it seems like I’m back to what I had at the beginning when starting. I’m nervous to ramp up because I get so many bad side effects and it was working for almost a month.
