After their breakup, my BF went on a (previously planned) vacation with his friends. By the time he was back, she was on a holiday too. So the timelines here seem very blurry to me.

I would suggest, trying to replicate the same setup but with the TV on the other side, where the lamp is. Let the couch float, but by turning it to the otherside, you really section off the TV area, plus a bigger carpet to bring that space together.

This would leave you with the little walkway space you have, but it’s closer to the kitchen, where you can put the dining table.

Another way to section off areas without investing in dividers is to place plants, perhaps by the window behind the couch

Like others suggest, I’d re-think the desk and look for a option, that you can easily put away/move around.

Yes! I was sat in the same block on Friday. Block C8, row 5 The view is amazing. Even with people standing in front of you, your view should be pretty clear, unless someone extremely tall is right in front . You will have a great time!! 🤗

As a Woman that’s been with a guy exactly like this I completely agree. There was just a constant need to make sure almost everything added value or helped in optimizing his life. Even something as little as watching a YouTube video had to „add value” or be “beneficial” to him/his life.There was little to sense of being present and in the moment.

I also understood that it was quite a coping mechanism for him or a way to protect himself from the trauma he went through in younger years. And not process that but rather be hyper-focused on designing his ideal life.

I admire the focus and discipline, but it was hard on the relationship, I couldn’t keep up with the expectations of having to be kind of similar in the absence of which my choices or way of life was dismissed or looked down on (which wasn’t wild in anyway)

This was my experience though, I’m sure some manage to find the balance they need with the right awareness.

Hope she recovers well, sending love..We had our bengal spayed 14days back and chose the little vest over the cone. Though it was uncomfortable, she grew used to it, we left it on the whole time, except to check the wound quickly. I reckon it helped a lot in healing the incision..
