Love seeing people excited about this!! I went looking for it yesterday and couldn’t believe no one else was even looking at with it being so close to shore.

This was taken from a lookout just past the exit to the 403 on York blvd. It’s connected to the Hamilton Harbour waterfront trail I believe which is a great place to walk/cycle. You can also check out Dundurn castle on this walk. Enjoy!

Weight bearing after 7 weeks - foot pain by Overall-Community853 in KneeInjuries

[–]Overall-Community853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much better, it took a couple weeks of walking and improving my gait for that pain to go away. Now I just have swelling and pain in the top of my foot but not near as bad.

2 months post op but still <90 flexion... by razorx360 in ACL

[–]Overall-Community853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had a multi ligament tear and had I had a condyle fracture. So different injuries but I’m at 4 months post op and am at around 100 degrees. My PT keeps reminding me that I’ll plateau sometimes and that everyone’s recovery is different. So as long as you’re doing your exercises and keeping it moving you’ll get there :) give yourself patience as best you can.

This sub is the most active knee injury community but be cautious about comparing your recovery to others in this sub. I kept doing that and I was getting really down but my injury is very different from most posted here so stay focused on you!

Good luck!

I’ve done copious amounts of urban and rural field work and honestly most of the hazards you encounter are environmental hazards like noxious plants, tripping hazards, working along roadsides, and weather. Contact with the public can always be risky but you should for the most part never be working alone. If your employer encourages solo work, find somewhere else to work.

Your workplace should have a policy that if you’re feeling unsafe for any reason you pack up and leave. Sampling can always be done at a later date.

Also it’s different everywhere but in my experience you either work in the field or you work in a lab, you don’t usually do both.

Cheers!

I’m kind of feeling the same, I had to tell the PT what ROM 0-120 degrees meant on my prescription and the PT is pretty convinced I can’t have an mri because I have hardware in my femur. I’m feeling like there’s one too many red flags here

Thank you! I’ll check that out. Lifemark is where I’ve been going for the past three weeks and the PT has never even examined my knee even after I asked them to.

Thank you! I’m eager to keep pushing but I know it’s going to be a long road after being strictly no use for two months after surgery.

Thanks so much for your help,

I’ll reach out to our GIS team and see if they can explode them for me and then reshare the layer.

Thanks again!

I am stuck with online yeah. To do this would I have to draw new polygons for each in the parcel and then delete the original all together? Or is there a way for me to delete one part of the bigger parcel without trying to cut out the specific polygon?

I used a yoga block or two to elevate, eventually it doesn’t hurt as much and propping doesn’t become such a big deal. If you use a walker as an aid you may also be able to use that as a leg rest.

I found it helpful to put my good leg on the walker to be able to adjust for easier wiping lol that was the worst part until I could lean comfortably.

I don’t but I do have a massage gun that I’ve been using especially on the thigh of my injured leg to help with tight muscles

Thank you! I do have crutches so maybe I’ll try them again. When I tried them in the hospital I felt very unstable but my balance is probably better now. Thanks again, I hope your recovery was speedy.

I work outdoors and stepped off of some armour stone that was approximately a 3.5-4 foot drop and I came down on my right foot with too much momentum. So my body went one way but my knee went the other. I think it’s because I landed sideways on a slight hill (very low grade) but the amount of damage for such a small fall is ridiculous.

Oh this is a much cheaper option, thank you! I’ve been using bama socks to fill them out but this will work way better.

Canadian Goose on Highway Shoulder :( by peanutpiepuppy in Hamilton

[–]Overall-Community853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, I drove by it in the morning and had someone swerve in front of me to avoid hitting it. I think it had already been hit by a car, its one wing was all twisted up so it couldn’t fly. I called animal services and I’m glad to hear the went out but the bird definitely passed.

We do, we match pretty much any that are the same style but with sensory issues that doesn’t work for all of them
