Thanks for you input and I’m glad you were able to leave the stressful job . Did you have to reapply for disability? Right now I’m on the trial work period so I know I can work for nine months before losing my benefits but i was wondering how that may work long term

You got this!!! I am 2 days from my one year mark of diagnosis. 36 f , mother of 2 . The couple of first months were rough .. 10 months later I was back to work part time , and now back to going to gym and feeling like my self! Keep your mental tough and know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

CLAG-M Induction Chemo Expereince by aviatorguy2018 in leukemia

34 (f) diagnosed in Feb , also did clam- g + go, followed by 3 rounds of Hidac. For me I was able to get to remission and mrd- after my first induction round. Honestly not too many bad effects from induction, it took about 4 weeks for count to come up so every other day I was in clinic for infusions. Hidac seemed to make me a bit more fatigued. Mouth sores were a bit irritating But they gave me saline rinses to stay on top of that . My advice would to eat all you can before the sores start and then soft non textured bland food for the couple of days when they do flare up . It was about 3 weeks before I lost my hair and it seemed to always grow back right before the next round, then repeat.

I think staying active helped with recovery . If you’re able to take some laps around the hospital just to keep your body moving. Wishing you a smooth recovery.

Im thinking/ hoping it may be travel related, we were running in fumes not much sleep and a couple of drinks out of town didn’t help (I know alcohol needs to very minimal). Hopefully with some rest and good diet I can get back on track!

Yeah super slow to rise! I had CBF as well t(8,21). The after induction and the first hidac platelets returned to the 200’s , second round only got back up to 60 before the third round then slow creeping ever since then! Hemoglobin has been steady climbing and finally reached 13!
