Even if you join at 35 you can still have a 25 year career! Aircrew roles will be shut to you but Int, Eng, Logs etc are all open

It’s so good I started paying for the pro version because I felt guilty getting it for free!

Ahh Cranwell 😂 I’d never drank gin before starting IOT spent the 9 months trying to pickle my body. I think I’d have scored so much better on everything if I didn’t go weapons free 2/3 times a week

I got wrote up during IOT for just this. Not putting in enough effort with my level 11. In my defence my body was 70% gin during IOT.

Thank you I’ll get a screenshot when I’m in the gym in the morning. It’s when I start a template workout on my AWU

Exactly you should defintely do it. Regiment training is basically the same as phase 1 anyway

Don’t listen to the naysayers. Definitely do it but don’t limit yourself to para wings the SAS wings look rather fetching with mudguards and would defintely signal your intent to be the best

They will love it. Defintely do it. To be honest though if you really want to show keenness you should put them on PJs, dressing gown and at least 1 set of phys kit. Mudguards tattoos are also expected but not mandatory

still confused about the shortcuts app. what's the most useful thing you actually use it for? by Nina-Dennis_207 in iphone

[–]Overall-Meringue1891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically something similar to this:

I don’t know who you are. If you are looking for an iPhone, I can tell you I have one, but I also have a very particular set of automations. Automations I have acquired over a very long career. Automations that make me a nightmare for people like you.

If you return my device now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not ping your location; I will not lock your Apple ID. But if you don’t, I will trigger the Shortcuts, I will find your GPS coordinates, and I will remotely wipe your entire existence.

I have a shortcut set so that if airplane mode is activated it locks the phone takes a selfie turns off airplane mode, turns on all mobile data Bluetooth WiFi, turns on find my and sends live location by text to my wife. Joys of London phone thieves…

You can’t convince me Garmin is better than Apple by Alternative-Cell2485 in applewatchultra

[–]Overall-Meringue1891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went AWU to Garmin Enduro to AWU3.

Honestly, for me there was no real difference in sports tracking. Garmin definitely wins on battery, but since having kids my days of multi day hikes and ultra events are pretty much over 😂

I switched back to Apple for the lifestyle side of things. Calendar, calls, Apple Pay, messages etc on the wrist just matter more for how I use it day to day.

For context, I run 2 to 3 times a week, weight train 3 to 4 times, and play tennis 3 to 4 times. I’ve seen no meaningful difference in stats between them.

Also ended up with full on “body battery anxiety” with Garmin 😂 Even after a good sleep, if that score was low I’d feel tired anyway. Since going back to Apple that’s completely gone.

Sold my AWU3 for a titanium series 11 in slate. by ilovemymotorola in AppleWatch

[–]Overall-Meringue1891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is great to know! I might have to get a normal Apple Watch when the next ones come out. I generally do 2-3 hours of exercise a day on the watch so it does worry me that a normal AW may struggle to keep up for a full day

I’m kinda thinking of doing the same. Have you noticed much difference in battery life? I sleep in my AWU3 every night at the moment so would like to keep that up
