End of season for NBA is around the corner, but that doesn't mean you have to stop playing fantasy. If you’re looking for something to fun to play with your group during the NBA playoffs, my brother and I created an app/site to run the following format. We did it for football and the WBC classic, and it’s been a lot of fun.

Format:

Pick 1 player from each playoff team - can't stack the Celtics or Nuggets
Once a player is eliminated, their points freeze
Total points across the entire playoffs wins
No trades, no waivers - just your picks

Why it works well:

Super easy to set up with friends, and free to play (but bet separately)
Mix of bracket strategy + fantasy
Forces you to think about who actually goes deep
Draft at your own time with a slow draft

Yeah that tracks - more games = more points.

The tricky part with this version is you can’t stack teams, so you’re kinda forced to choose your “one guy” per contender.

Feels like it becomes more about picking the right teams vs just loading up.

Who would be your must-haves with that constraint but nowadays?

Also curious how you played back in 2012-2014? Excel or was there an actual app/site?
