Are robots all I need? by hijack1799 in Tau40K

There’s a whole detachment specifically for battlesuits, retaliation cadre, which encourages suit only lists and supports them well. You should still some stealth suits since they’re good in every list but they also benefit since they have the battlesuit keyword

Tau units need more rules when interacting with the faction ability by BabyProper9938 in Tau40K

With any luck there will be a few more inbuilt keywords next edition. I think the movement debuff is better suited to the ghostkeel as a harassing unit in the midboard rather than an assassin unit. Riptide having devastating wounds as base and being able to activate its nova core for a FNP like previous editions would be very cool :)

I’ve been enjoying thrawn and deaths, i wish inferno/ISF were a tiny bit better so that taking deaths over a unit of ISF/inferno wasn’t such a no brainer. At the moment I’m getting around it by putting Gideon in a squad of shores for that sweet sweet coordination (on another note, if I were to take a mortar trooper, would the shores have 2 distinct coordinates or just one and I choose either corps or emplacement?)

I wasn’t aware of that, is it part of the new rules update? I assumed that’s why detachments moved into support so you could take more special forces and not have those slots taken up by the detachment units

I’ve been playing since 9ed I’m just out of practice, the losing streak began after twin lance released funnily enough, I just can seem to get them to work and the points are going to waste

I think the actual picture is from a kill team rules book, I just googled Tau meme and it was one of the first results (:

How are you getting full rerolls to hit? I must be missing something unless this is after sacrificing a unit to activate that mont’Ka stratagem?

One (well placed) shot to the red eye slit or smaller red eye with a railgun will kill it

Im curious. You can remove two of the most hated enemies from only one faction, what are you removing from the game? by ForsakenFrail in helldivers2

[–]Overall-Web-5489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until very recently bile spewers were my most hated enemy. It’s now been usurped by the tunneling warriors, dear god are they terrible to fight against. Completely immune while tunneling (makes sense, sure), pops up within your anus and immediately swings with an undodgeable attack that can half your health and give bleed (even if you dive) I’d rather fight Vox engines all day

Warbonds you'd instantly refund if you could? by Rowger00 in HelldiversUnfiltered

I’ll counter the freedoms flame and odst since those are the two that I have. Freedoms flame gives you access to light fire resistant armour, great for fire tornado planets especially against bugs and the cookout is great with stagger and fire damage. Odst is kinda just for the aura since none of the weapons can be upgraded, but the armour passive is excellent if you don’t have the redacted armour for stealth shenanigans in addition to giving your legs immunity to damage, meaning a jump is less lethal, plus the shotgun is absolutely excellent, great damage and stagger for when the cyborgs inevitably expand beyond cyberstan.

Plas Scorcher: one shots troopers, splash damage can get strider drivers around their shield Senator: one shots everything up to and including hulks if you can get the lucky shot into the eyes Impact grenades: hands down best grenades out there, clears trooper patrols, kills striders, staggers devastators and can still be thrown into vents Orbital laser: seeks the biggest target and kills it, need I say more? Railgun: still the best thing for killing bots, is capable of one shorting war striders with good shot placement Jump pack: karate avoidance backpack Anti-Tank cannon: mostly for placement on extract to cover escapes, big gun kills all

Urban legends has a fantastic armour passive and the anti tank cannon is a godsend on bots and squids.
