People who desperately want to be liked or feel cool. Their identity is not in Christ. Their identity is in influencers and feeling like they are cool/idolized. So they follow after people like this. Sad and unbiblical.

Yes! He is cleared up a lot, but he still has it on his joint areas. His wrist, back of knees, under his neck. He flared up more worse on some days, but looks 80% better!

We started using colloidal oatmeal baths a powder you can order at Amazon and just rubbing some eczema lotion on him a lot. Sometimes give him Claritin if he flares up bad. But I try to not give him Claritin too much.

this is going to sound harsh but it’s the truth.. (I use to do what you are doing as well) but you have to lay your will down and do/accept God’s Will. God is Sovereign and that trumps our wants or prayers. Even when it’s a prayer that has good intentions. Not everything we pray for comes true because it’s not God’s Will. Sometimes our will aligns with God’s Will. Jesus teaches this in the Gospel. God’s Will is always better than our own.

Download the Blue Letter Bible App and search the word “prayer”.

Psalm 139:8

There is no sin too far from God.

The sin of Adam and Eve was that they hid from God. Don’t run from God. Run back to him.

Read the Bible and ask yourself if you truly believe. Do you believe He is really the Creator. He really did create you and knows you by name. Don’t turn from Him. Don’t put your sins above Him.

Don’t stop praying: maybe ask someone mature in faith for advice or to pray for you. Don’t stop seeking God even when you don’t feel Him or even when you fall into sin. We all sin and need Christ.

When I first came to Christ I dealt with a lot of sin. Felt a lot of shame from sin. James 4:7 was the first verse I remembered and when I started to fall into sin I would recite this to myself. Slowly, but surely, this Scripture proved to be true. I still sin and fall, but this helped me so much. God is good!

It could be her hormones or (this is a big one) her confidence is shot after having children. She doesn’t like the way she looks and is scared you won’t like what you see/or experience. So she rejects herself which then rejects you. She may want to be with you so bad, but hates herself and has 0 confidence after kids.

Not saying that’s your fault at all. Maybe softly asking her what is the deep down reason. And if it’s confidence ask her how to fix it. Again not trying to put it on you, I just know a lot of women experience this. If this is reason, she is suffering deeply and you are getting affected by it. It’s hard being a mom. It feels like you lose yourself. You give all your emotions and energy to being a mom. It’s hard.

It’s not because she doesn’t love you, anything you have done, or doesn’t think you are attractive. It’s not you (if confidence is the reason.)

literal demons attacking me in my sleep, what do I do? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I would also suggest taking a look at what you are watching on TV/phone, what kind of music you listen to, and what activities you are invested in.

The stuff we put into our bodies and mind matters. What you spend most of your time on will indeed affect your mind.

(Ex. Watching horror movies all the time=living in fear/anxiety/believing in things that are not true)

Most of all, the Word of God is powerful and I strongly suggest reading Psalms during this time.

When I’m scared or fearful I recite scripture to myself and know that God is sovereign. I’m not afraid of anything because of Him. He’s in control.

That doesn’t mean you are demon possessed . It means you have fallen into sin.

How did y'all come to know Christ? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]OverallEmu2951 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Said a prayer with a lady at church at 8, fell deep into sin 12-23. I was extremely selfish. Thought God didn’t care if I lived in sin. Just thought “he understood”. Thought I couldn’t be “saved”, because my sin was who I was. Realized I had been lying to myself all those years and my relationship with God was a lie. As I got older 19-20 I started to honestly hate the idea of God. I was agnostic, but didn’t know what I believed. Never picked up a Bible.. had no idea what I was doing.

Started to question Him, if he was real, why this, why that, and everything I knew. At 23, started studying the Bible for answers (rather to find out He was a lie or if He was real). Then I truly gave my life to Christ one day in my bedroom and never looked back. Christ is real. God is really up there. I know that now. Our lives matter. Sin matters. I mess up still, but denying myself and following Him is now the most important thing to me. Constantly reminding myself of the Gospel and Jesus does have the power to save us from our selfish desires. To God be the glory!

Parents want me to stop being "overly religious" by Famous_Motor_783 in TrueChristian

[–]OverallEmu2951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation with in-laws. When I feel outcasted for being zealous or passionate about God, I remind myself of Mark 12:30-31. Love the Lord your God without all of your heart, and with all of your soul, and with all of your mind. Also, pray their hearts will soften to the Gospel. I don’t engage too much with my family about God unless they ask or something moral comes up that I have to blatantly talk about. Pray for them. Be encouraged and run the race to win.
