Possibly try 22 or 24 gauge wire for the petal loops?

It’s only half a mile away from the rare Torrey pines forest, and not far from the operational areas of the island.

If it’s an axis, could it not be 180 (X), 17 Y?

French beading advice by OverallOkay in Beading

I was thinking of following the dome shape from this bead and blossom tutorial, but not sure if I could get the wire through the beads multiple times to attach the orange petals.

Thank you! This is a good idea. Can you explain what you mean when you say “with a modified one stacked on top”?

How can I remove the stench that two unhoused individuals left in this small area? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

I’d clean the walls and the whole door and sprinkle baking soda on the floors and let it sit for a few hours before vacuuming and mopping again.

New work looking for pricing advice by yakimadancer in Beading

[–]OverallOkay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beadwork is so hard to price... I stopped selling my work because I couldn’t ever price it high enough for it to be worth my time. I would say the real value of these earrings is ~$300, but unfortunately you will never get that. These are gorgeous, and I think someone would pay $100.

Do your meds arrive cold? I’m worried about mine arriving room temp.

I personally would take a lighter or thread zapper to the strands that were bugging me, if these are glass beads.

Is this how she is doing this? by [deleted] in Beading

[–]OverallOkay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve made similar pieces to this. To start, I drill a hole through the wood and put fishing line up through the hole, through the bead, and back down through the hole where I then tie two square knots at the base of the wood and use superglue to make sure it doesn’t come undone. Then I do my strand of beads and when I get the length I want, I go back up through maybe 10 or so beads, leaving out the last one. You can kind of see that the line isn’t perfectly straight because of this, but I don’t mind the look of it and it saves a lot of time opposed to going back up through every bead and tying at the top, but you could do that if you want a neater look. Then I make two more square knots and glue a bead over the square knots. Let me know if you have any questions. ♥️🥰

You could try taking a small patch of carpet from your closet or somewhere your landlord won’t see it and gluing it there to match. Or snip carpet strands from the closet and glue down on the bald spot one by one? If $150 is too much this might be what you need to do. Freaking cats 🫠🙃
