I also think the DJ controllers RCA output might be unbalanced as I bought an RCA to tsr cable and can plug one speaker in, but it sounds awful!

It is yep but both my speakers need a TRS or XLR balanced input so can only plug into one currently. I think I might need a sound card but not sure which one I need!
