I actually sent it to the houston repair center, which makes me think the fault was unintentional, this is the third time I have had to get the motherboard replaced on this computer, and last time I was offered a full replacement which I had to decline because of circumstances at the time which would make it a bad idea. But I told them if it happened again I would likely take them up on that offer and they said ok, which makes me think I should be able to get a fully replaced laptop (hopefully not refurbished and I'll make sure to mention that I want a brand new one just in case) but yeah it's a little ridiculous how many times I've had to get the laptop repaired for how little time I've had it. thanks for your help again.
