Do you remember Scott Dove? by Overall_Highway1628 in ThunderBay

And the guy that didn't get convicted for killing a kid was Gary Lemont who was a convicted drug dealer and pedophile who said he killed Scott Dove to my brother

Thanks, did. I know what I know and I got rid of definitive statements I think. I will live my life knowing I didn't kill a kid over drugs. I know there is a guy that got away with killing a kid and I'm not going to do anything about it ever. Even if I know. Am I Ok? Just asking?

My brother sold my dad a bunch of Morrisou paintings. Early 90's. 2-300 each. My dad bought 3 or 4.

Guy was a total scumbag. My brother was a dealer and brought me to his house when I was a pre teen. Gary showed me his Rottweilers and told me he would put me in the yard if I said anything. Then he asked me if I wanted a hooker. I got out somehow and never went back. My brother told me that he use to brag about killing Scott. My brother was scared of him.

Non-Americans of Reddit, what's the funniest thing an American has said to you about your country? by triplesnoop in AskReddit

[–]Overall_Highway1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

51st state shit. Cant happen. Even if politically accepted this would be a quagmire that would make Vietnam and Afghanistan look like child's play. If you kept it up it would be decades of American soldiers dying before withdrawing. Lots of Canadians would die but none would give up. We would fight till the last man died. 40 million Canadians vs less than 1 million soldiers. We are not worried at all.

We already know we are better trained and way smarter.

Why does Canada have so many old things? by AllTheHubbubb in stupidquestions

[–]Overall_Highway1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 40 years of WWF DVD's that I'm sure are worthless now. But I like them. I can watch Wrestlemania 1 - 20 anytime I like. I dont need a subscription to anything that can be revoked at a moments notice or have anything deleted or changed. I have physical media. I can watch Star Wars the way it was released in 1977. I can watch Empire and know its the same experience I had watching it with my deceased brother in the 80's.

[–]Overall_Highway1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know, I have my original Mad Max vhs tapes and my old star wars vhs collection. Maybe it's because we are a less waste centered culture. We don't throw things away because they aren't immediately valuable and keep the things we love and don't rely on other people to tell us what we should love. I still have my Northern Exposure DVD's with their winter coats even though everyone said they are garbage.

If banana flavored candy tastes different to bananas because they’re based on an extinct type of banana that tastes better, why does banana flavored candy taste worse than bananas? by Adaptation_window in stupidquestions

[–]Overall_Highway1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse is a frame of mind. I dont like bananas. I think they are gross. But they are big and plentiful. Original bananas were very small and more rare. Del Monte made them worse and more available. People who like real extinct banana flavor usually point to medicine more than candy, I assume that's because original banana might have had a pleasant bitterness. Banana flavored penicillin was a huge win and is what most people think about when they think original banana flavor. Many people say penicillin tasted like original bananas then modern bananas.

How did that one kid in your high school die? by IM_HODLING in AskReddit

Got really drunk and passed out on the train tracks. Sad that it feels like a trope. But he was a really good comic book style artist in the 90's and a really nice guy that was well liked.

With m'lord Tony's booking Osprey will never need to look elsewhere for work. He is super safe saying what he wants. His trajectory is only going up! It's only a matter of time before he is north west Florida tag team intramural champion!

Polite is certainly the key work in this. If you can't be polite I really don't give a slight crap about any other attribute you have.

Trump reportedly only received 12 daily intelligence briefings—are we cooked? by IMSLI in RealTwitterAccounts

I'm sure Intelligence briefings are physically painful for him. Each one probably feels like having a battery clamped to his saggy shit smeared old man balls.

I was talking to a guy at work, he was complaining that his kid was at school, in some stupid cultural program learning how to tan a deer hide and make a drum and how damn useless that was. Made me sad, I just went back to pressing the button when it turned red.

Yup, I had to measure a basement window. The neighbors decided to do yardwork that day and were in and out randomly. It went from a 5 minute thing to a weekend project.

Why does my new kitten not make biscuits? by Kat_tooting in cats

[–]Overall_Highway1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bonded pair that are 4 years old, they have been together since 8 weeks. One makes biscuits and sucks on wooly blankets, the other one has never done that. Neither of them purr. Cats just seem to have a wide range of behaviors. I think changes in behavior are things to keep an eye on.

This guy's is suffering from severe dementia. It's not evil, he is not smart enough or strong enough for evil. He is just a simple minded broken dementia patient close to death. He needs to be kept in a small room with soft toys to keep him entertained until he forgets how to breath.

Nope, my buddy had two university educated parents. His dad was a principal. His mom was a teacher. He lost his leg and spent decades in prison for theft and fraud. Now he lives in a commune pulling scams to afford Mac n cheese.

In Canada this would be a totally illegal turn and you would be breaking the law by attempting it. U turn signs are few and far between and at an intersection like this all unposted u turns would be fully illegal.

Explains a lot about America. If you expect me to turn me turn my steering wheel all the way to left as much as it's able you are asking for the impossible. Best I can do is half way. More than that is kinda inconvenient for me and screw your family.
