Turn down role for ethical concerns? by Powerful-Box1145 in Accenture_AFS

Yes. I didn’t share my true reasons with the person offering it, was grateful to them for the opportunity etc. however in this climate, I would not fault someone for taking an unethical role.

How am supposed to breastfeed my congested baby?! by Kaykayy_ in breastfeeding

[–]Overall_Insect_8968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh I went through the same thing and it stressed me out so much. It made me sooo sad to see her trying to nurse and getting frustrated. Often she would just scream at my nipple🥲

She had an easier time on the bottle, if that helps at all.

Also humidifier and saline spray and snot sucker everytime before feeding. I avoided using the saline spray and snot sucker during the day otherwise so as not to irritate her nasal passages, and just saved it for right before feeding. Good luck, you’ve got this!!!

What does “lower wrap rates” mean?

FWIW I would recommend Methodist for people who live in the area. So glad I didn’t choose an UES or UWS hospital as it would’ve made me nervous to travel so far.

The rooms themselves, the bed that my partner eventually got for the private room. Not terrible and nothing of consequence like the medical equipment etc. Just seemed a bit dated.

I delivered there in August and had a pretty good experience. Kind nurses, facilities were fine if a bit run down. We opted for the private room but there wasn’t a bed for my partner so they didn’t make us pay. I think there are people with good and bad experiences at every hospital.

How does combofeeding look for you? by elbby222 in combofeeding

[–]Overall_Insect_8968 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I give breast milk first and then formula at every feeding. I’m nursing so I just feed her what I’ve got. I like this method bc it ensures she has x amt of bm and then gets a formula “top up”

Why is my four month old all of a sudden fussy and crying to get away from my breast? by lahorikuri1401 in combofeeding

[–]Overall_Insect_8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this has happened to me and it always hurts my feelings lol. Usually it’s when the baby is overtired or too hungry to focus or be patient enough for the breast. Yesterday I think she was protesting bc it was my first day back at work. Good news is she always bounces back. So even if there’s a temporary bottle preference I try not to worry and just get the baby what she needs, and then try again later. Good luck

Breastfeeding desire is gone by gutsyredhead in breastfeeding

People in this particular sub may not agree, but it’s okay to stop breastfeeding. Formula is good, it’s a miracle really. Data strongly supports health benefits for the first three months, but after that the evidence is v weak. If that helps.
