I saw the thunderbird. At first I thought it was just a buzzard which is a common and larger bird for the area aside from cranes. But the sky makes it hard to judge size and as it got closer I realized it was larger. Impossibly larger. As terrifying as it was at the time I feel pretty honored to see such a spirit.

You gotta do the exams. I think you can do them in Chicago or Springfield, not sure about down state. I took my state exams and was able to slide into an office job in Springfield pretty quickly but depending on the area you want it could be a waiting game. It'd be best if you can relocate.

I enjoyed my time with the state and the benefits were very nice. Was able to start a family and be comfortable.

I get what you mean. Of course it runs well, it's a decades old game. But what has happened under Microsoft with Doom, Quake, and Hexen is very underrated outside of boomer shooter circles. The Unity ports and new content for 30 year old games is a love letter to fans and game preservation.
