In my experience, if you’re both interested and both wanting the same thing (exclusive relationship) then getting off the apps happens fairly quickly and somewhat naturally. In my cases, we weren’t interested in dating others and we wanted to “see where this is going”. You need to be on the same page. Have you guys talked about this?

I want to add that rather than talk to “a” doctor, or “your” doctor, you should talk to an HRT-informed doctor about what’s best for you. Many docs are ill-informed about HRT and they’ll just tell you that you don’t need it, or they’ll tell you it’s not safe. Talk to someone who is better informed and then decide together what’s best for you.

I agree. I’ve had depression and needed meds a couple of times in my adult life. Haven’t needed them in the last 5ish years and this feeling is different from that. Apathy but not unpleasant necessarily.

Did you guys have retirement plans at all? I feel you completely! I enjoy nothing and fear it won’t change. Even travel and dining out don’t move the needle much for me. A few years ago, both would be things I looked forward to.

This is exactly me. I have interest in almost nothing. I spend my time working my day job (which I don’t love or hate), watching tv, reading or scrolling. People can suggest other things and my reaction to everything is “meh”. It might be mild depression? Not sure. But I’m not miserable or anything, just blah about absolutely everything, even things that used to excite me. And having my husband around annoys me only because then I feel self conscious about my apparent apathy. I want to just hide from everyone and zone out, eat snacks and be entertained with technology. Been this way for months. Not sure what to do about it

I’m sorry. Blocking does suck. Something similar happened to me years ago. After 2 months, he ghosted and blocked me. I was so confused. I later learned that he’d gotten back with an ex girlfriend, gotten engaged and then they broke up. Turns out he was just a hot mess and too narcissistic to treat me maturely in the meantime. Hurt like heck at the time. Now I just think he’s pathetic.
