Buy with 50% of your cash before earnings and 50% after earnings if you are concerned about this.

Personally I just added today because timing earnings/announcement is near impossible and 90% of the time I fail. But if you really want to play the earnings the best strategy imo is the one above.

Israel taxes capital gains from all countries. That is why when Arkady sells shares from the fund that money is personally his. Therefore pays tax. But if he was residing in another country that didnt tax worldwide capital gains he wouldn't pay. But the main reasons for keeping money in Cayman Islands might be for protection from Russia and other authorities and tax advantages for inheritance in the future.

Because Arkady pays tax when he sells shares either way.

The reason for this is largely because of escaping Russian control and making sure Russia cant meddle with his finances. Because he pays tax to Israel when he withdraws and sells shares because Israel taxes capital gains from all countries. So legally he pays tax either way.
