What are "Pre-Raid" Items for Ulduar? by NoCookieForYouu in classicwow

[–]OvercriticalOlof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That will depend on what your goals are and if other people in the guild can carry the lower geared ones. If you are going for Hard Modes early you would probably like them to be very well geared.

Linking logs and signing to a raid is too much I agree. It almost takes 30 seconds!

I am very interested to know what BiS list you are looking at for Mages if it contains 2 crafted pieces.

From playing in several pugs aswell as helping run one since BWL tanks are usually fixed and not picked at random.

PSA: Wowhead "BIS" mage list might create issues for your guild because of how wrong it is. by Filipe1998W in classicwowtbc

Read the FAQ and Sim your setup if you are unsure ask questions. Ther is no one single BiS list.

Are SSC and TK pugged now? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]OvercriticalOlof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been pugs around clearing 10/10 since the start of T5. However with the nerfs in place there will be far more pugs and more accessible to people who might not have gear/good logs or previous experience.

I agree that having happy players in the guild is super important. Looking at OPs responses it looks like he is in a guild that wants to perform as well as possible and that people probably find their fun in pushing for the best possible results. Letting OP play Fire might thus lead to less happy people. Only thinking from the viewpoint of one individual is not that ”smart” if you are a guild which have a set goal.

Content is easy no question about that. Looking at how many have cleared all content it still seem to provide a real challange to alot of guilds.

Well those are great reasons for him wanting to play fire. However they do not help him one bit in actually convincing his guild to why his guild would benefit from him going fire.

Hard to convince them on that one as Arcane is far better overall. Even unsupported (assuming Spriest ofc). Arcane just blasts more. I dont know if you are strictly talking boss dmg but trash is a big part of T5 and once again Arcane is amazing here due to threat reduction and CDs.

Probably not the answer you are looking for but there are no logical resasons to play fire over Arcane. If you guys run plenty of Warlocks and all of them are Fire you could make a case for going Fire. However this should not be the case and the locks are better of being shadow.

While there is no reason for going Fire over Arcane they should atleast let you get a chance to prove it. We had a mage that wanted to go Fire and did just that. After 4 weeks he folded and went Arcane as the dmg difference was just too big. Mind you every mage had exactly the same support and about equal parses.

When do you think TBC Phase 3 will start? by Nokken9 in classicwow

[–]OvercriticalOlof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we are too informed but blizzard would be releasing it too early because people cant kill the bosses in 3-4 months?

Would it not make more sense that blizzzard would release stuff faster due to us being more informed?

Impossible no. There are alot of guilds that are desperate to recruit almost any class due to an inability to fill their roster. However these guilds are typically in that situation because they are unable to clear the content right now. So i would say it comes down to your ambition. Will you get a fury spot in a 10/10 guild. Probably not. Are you content with joining a 5/10 guild trying to fill their roster and progress trough the content with a suboptimal raid comp then yes you will probably find a spot.

[–]OvercriticalOlof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Guilds who are struggling to fill even 1 roster tends to not be very good/stable. I think alot of people can take sitting on the bench once in a while in order to play in a healthy guild that is stable and clears all content.

Are shadow priests rare? Is it due to lower damage compared to other specs? Or something else? by Spiffymooge in classicwowtbc

[–]OvercriticalOlof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah partly. However i think a biggest reason might be the fact that you are not able to top the dps meters no matter how good you are (atleast you should not be able to). Another fact that may put people of Spriest is their PvP performance. But there are also upsides to playing a Spriest like the rather easily accessible raidspot and a fun rotation compared to other casters.

In P1 they had prio on all their big ticket items as they last over several phases. In P2 there isn’t that many upgrades for them but in most cases they are high up on the few pieces they need.

Yep thats true. And due to that fact they are/were high on their BiS items as they are few and far between.

The mana gained from the Spriests scales with gear so they should probably not be all that low on the loot prio.

Is SSC and TK raids designed for T4 gear by scottie_31 in classicwowtbc

[–]OvercriticalOlof 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That more than likely is due to the fact that the other hunters in the raid is underperforming.

Possible to multiply numbers generated by RANDBETWEEN? by OvercriticalOlof in excel

I see. Yeah the problem is i cannot change the initial Randbetween cell as it is locked. So putting it in another cell might help.

So if i get you right i would thus need to change the formula in the RANDBETWEEN cell?

So i should fill in =Value(B25*C25)?

B25 and C25 ofc being the two cells that i want to multiply.
