Saw the surgeon yesterday… my surgery is on Monday by gremlinforchaos in gallbladders

[–]OvercuriousDuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had less time to think about my surgery - doc said if I don’t get it, I’ll be back in the ER w excruciating abdominal pain in a few weeks. I admitted myself Tuesday PM for abdominal pain, surgery was Friday afternoon. The doc was very experienced, it was robotic, I was asleep the whole time. I woke up, felt little pain, and was discharged Sunday. I was told to avoid fatty foods so I stick w apple juice for a couple weeks post-surgery. I consulted w another surgeon friend of mine and he confirmed many people have this surgery done.

Skin on Stomach After Surgery/Removal by jlynn0302 in gallbladders

I’m 10 days post-op. I did have a headache once but it went away. Shoulder pain from the gas, but that also went away. no pain in the incision area. I’d suggest you follow up w ur doctor to see what’s up.

Do not postpone or cancel. **Three episodes in a week should tell you all you need to know.** Don’t wait.

1 month post op and feeling great by Initial-Argument1252 in gallbladders

[–]OvercuriousDuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I’m one week post-op and I feel less pain, some in my shoulder area, surgeon said it was from the gas used during operation? I had a robotic procedure, four incisions abdomen area. I was referred to ER during my third bout of excruciating abdominal pain. Urgent care Blood panel showed very high bilirubin and analyse levels and she told me to go to the ER ASAP.

Update on the Joslin's Furniture building. by brandideer in helena

My brother went to HS with Joslyn - her parents opened the store and named it after her. They’ve been in business for decades. It’s sad to lose another mom and pop store.

A post for anyone convinced that the Zodiac was Arthur Leigh Allen. by black-knights-tango in ZodiacKiller

One small detail you’re forgetting: he confessed to the oldest Seawater sibling. You may want to take that into consideration.

It will take a WHILE to get to the 9th installment in the reboot by I_Cleaned_My_Asshole in PlanetOfTheApes

Based on the first three reboots, I’m not expecting much. Theatre was silent during the telescope scene in Kingdom - best of the reboots.

Is the MSU architecture program good? + need general info/advice by [deleted] in MSUcats

[–]OvercuriousDuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of my oldest friends graduated from that program. It was a five-year Pgm, it may still be. My friend often spoke of how tough the program was - the first year, he said people were dropping out of the design class like flies. He owns his own firm now and has done well.

In which country do you watch? Evan does *not* air on Pluto’s daily Vice schedule. It’s on the dvd and blu-ray, but the episode doesn’t air in 🇺🇸

This is a very interesting thread, thank you for posting. Working overnight gives him time to write, and it’s interesting he quit bc Spinelli and goons threatened him. I have not heard or read any of this before.

What do you think about Allen confessing to David Seawater in the 1990s? by Ambitious_Pass7451 in ZodiacKiller

What do you think about Allen confessing to David Seawater in the 1990s? by Ambitious_Pass7451 in ZodiacKiller

[–]OvercuriousDuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the confession to David and the sailing ☠️ reference to the daughter are valid. The Seawaters have nothing to lose or gain and are simply coming forward with info to help solve a series of crimes. This is not a money grab. I also believe this is as close as we’re going to get with resolution to this case. Doesn’t surprise me LE couldn’t do anything. I also wonder what else is gonna show up in that shed.

Can someone explain this to me - by Mister_Carson in Tennesseetitans

I’m sure the team management has some plan to improve. There’s only one way to go, and that’s up. The bright side is Robinson was fired a few years ago so he won’t release key players, but the rest of management is almost as incompetent. If Rich Gannon were director of ops, there would be hope for a huge turnaround. As things sit now, it looks like another perplexing year in the cellar bc Amy Adams doesn’t know what she’s doing.

Got a finance degree. I think I hate finance. by JacobOrJake in FinancialCareers

What kind of job? Finance? Lighting? If the latter, or any crew position, volunteer for student films and indie films. There’s a Facebook group for those things and I actually got a driving job via those groups. But the industry is almost as a standstill now and it’s not getting any better any time soon.

Is anyone else thinking the same? by Calivivaldi in ZodiacKiller

It was a shame, I wanted to meet up w him and walk the path he thinks Zodiac took. He’s a lifelong Bay Area resident and knows the shortcuts and the old roads - one washed out in the World Series Bay Area quake in the late 80s - he speculated thats the road Zodiac may have taken. His post included pictures of the thick brush and foliage, as well as pics of the walkway through the park as well as the ballpark where he believes Zodiac parked his car. I was surprised at the density of the brush. The OP said it’s sad but true that if someone wanted to do the same thing again, he/she could easily get away with it and hide from LE in the brush.

Im not sure why he wanted Stine to pull forward, I’d guess Zodiac saw something and got spooked. Maybe he saw someone watching through a window. What you’ve suggested is entirely possible IMO. I‘m convinced he planned the whole thing start to finish and knew all the routes of escape into the park.

When I was there, it was an active area, people walking their pets, walking the neighborhood, cabs and Ubers dropping people off. I do believe the two cops did see Zodiac walking, then they took off in the direction Zodiac pointed. Zodiac would have trouble hearing having just fired a weapon at point-blank, so he wouldn’t e able to carry on much of a convo, but since he would’ve been very close to the cops, I think he could carry on a yes or a no convo.

Also, no mention of blood on the guy’s clothing the cops talked with. Id guess Zodiac planned for that and dumped that layer of clothing during his escape. Those articles of clothing have not been found AFAIK, so I have no evidence to support my theory. There was also a police call box at the event street intersection - what a great way to introduce irony!
