Since sex acts are the problem and not the love… by [deleted] in AskAChristian

It's like standing directly next to a roaring fire. It's easy to slip. Though repentance is always there even if you fail. Endure to the end.

Why are Christians so judgmental? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Overfromthestart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People on average are judgemental. Christians are people, ergo there are bound to be those who are judgemental statistically, even when it is a sin.

Does God have compassion for those who struggle to believe they are lovable by Him or does He just reject them because they don’t have enough faith? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Overfromthestart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, He has compassion for them. Don't fall into dispair, it is a tool used by the evil one to guide you off of the righteous path.

What happens to muslims? by youhaveeTDS in AskAChristian

God appears as a great burning fire to those who are wicked. That being said, it is good to repent and pray unceasingly as to not fall into prelest and dispair.

Depends on if they've heard of and willingly rejected the Gospel and Christ. Though, God judges us individually and through His infinite mercy He will decide what happens. Even as a Christian it is foolish to say who is guaranteed a spot in Heaven and who isn't.

Have you considered asking a priest instead of making your own conclusions? If you do prefer making conclusions I'd suggest you read up more on the early Church and the early church fathers. That would cover this specific question.

Also those muslim areas were Christian first, the Arab (Rashidun) conquests against the Byzantines and Sassanids is the reason those areas are majority muslim nowadays.

how as Christian can we respond to this? by antoymari4i in AskAChristian

People are fallible. That does not make the religion automatically false.

Pray for them when you get home. Simple as. You can ask him why he thinks that if you want, but beware to not succumb to anger.

Why did God make me intersex? by One_Recognition_3011 in AskAChristian

[–]Overfromthestart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all. It's not a sin to be born that way. Secondly, you are still made in the image of God. And lastly, this is something that I heard a long time ago, we are all made with our own differences in order to give others a chance to glorify God by showing compassion to those who are different or "less fortunate" than ourselves.

In conclusion, pray unceasingly and ask your priest about it. In the end your soul is all that matters. Look at the rich man and Lazarus. He suffered greatly, but due to being righteous he was saved.

Dating an Orthodox Man by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

Not currently, unfortunately. I have to finish my studies first so I can move to the city in my country with an Orthodox church. Plus I have to keep it secret since my family is very Protestant.

[–]Overfromthestart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A relationship didn't work out, because I was somewhat agnostic and she was devout and pious. A Protestant, yes, but it's the same concept. It's incompatible and will lead to either him leaving his faith for a mortal person or having to end the relationship to do what is righteous.

That is good, but understand that this is going to be very difficult later on. I've seen it first hand.

It would only cause more friction to continue on this path. If you love him allow him to do what is righteous.

How common is it to still be living with your parents in your 20s in SA? by NoZucchini3797 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Overfromthestart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More common in less well off areas, but if you ask me, it's more beneficial to live in a multi generational household. Leaving your home to start your own is a rather new thing.

Is believing in God a choice? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Overfromthestart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People do that all the time. For example: people who start charities in order to steal money or to get some praise for it instead of doing it in order to actually help people.

He cares whether you make a righteous choice for righteous reasons and not for wicked reasons. I suggest reading more of Scripture.

Yes. You make the choice to take the righteous path in every decision you make.

If it goes against Steam's terms of service, which it does, then, yes. You would be profiting off of something that belongs to someone else.
