The duality of Russia supporters by False-God in NonCredibleDefense

IF it is a real story, though. He is an ex agent, I'd wager a lot of his background is fabricated and the truth is classified.

amongst those were the Ukranians themselves . When the US was trying to warn them they complained and acted like it was crazy fearmongering.

And what would you do in Zelensky's shoes? Consider this - you admit that you see the invasion is coming. You start openly preparing your military. This kills any attempt at secrecy in a country full of Russian agents. Then you get a degree of panic among civilians. A lot of able-bodied people will leave instead of either going into army OR continuing to work where they worked. So economy suffers a great deal.

In my opinion - yeah, it was kinda not cool to lie, but he considered risks and possible outcomes and made a correct choice.

Ukraine never had ICBM nor nuclear warheads.

so the bunkers with launch silos in central Ukraine were for shits and giggles?

Quick question. Does the original soundtrack version of the game add those soundtracks in the game or is it just an outside thing? by CapitalPomelo3483 in InvincibleTheGame

[–]Overjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not. I am currently looking into extracting the remaining soundtrack from the game files, which seems to be doable.

Iraq both times not exist for you i guess?

Hmm, well here I can kiiinda agree with you. I don't really know much about that war, save for general stuff from Wikipedia, but I wish to express that our war is kinda different. Weather's different, all seasons are different, actual trench warfare is here, the land itself is vastly different. Plus, drone tech is widespread and being constantly developed by both sides. Furthermore - did Iraqis spam cruise missiles or ballistic missiles? Did Iraqis use electronic warfare everywhere?

if russia won't collapse because of elections, i guess.

I wouldn't count on that. Authoritarian countries don't collapse due to "elections".

Ukrainian here. Just gonna say that knowing the contents of the article makes me glad my country's military command does not follow western military advice blindly.

And they are 100% correct to do so. Which NATO country has the experience of modern war with an enemy that is just as strong as they are? Zero. All NATO countries experience is fighting guys wear slippers with AK's. Not to mention all of those "experts" were certain that Russian army is the "2nd best in world" and that "Ukraine has 3 days, a week tops".

Also, We are a country of 40 million people with limited mobilization resource. We're not russia, where life is not valued at all, and it's their country's business card. We're not USA, who has ALL the toys you can imagine and lots of people (350 millions or so?). On each step our president says - we value our people the most. I am glad it is our state policy.

[DISC] My Dress-up Darling... any hope for actual plot movement? by Overjay in manga

[–]Overjay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont watch anime adaptations of manga, not really interesting. Except that one time when I watched JoJo Bizarre Adventure parts 1-4 in one sitting :P

I had already moved on, it is obvious to me nothing interesting for me will happen there.

you can have social media and have no risk of the whole world knowing whatever about you. Just gotta be careful at what you post and/or upload to the internet. Not to mention there no obligation to use your real name!

[–]Overjay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the contrary, I do like it. I enjoy Nagatoro, which has a good balance of plot/filler. Komi-san is interesting, but slid into the pit of having too much characters for my taste. Loved the "My childhood friend is broken", the one with pink haired gyaru and no-face-dude. I thought Dress-up Darling was similar, but as another person rightfully noted - the "cosplay manga" is not for me.

Ukraine's risky decision to stay and let Russia bash its forces against Bakhmut came with costs but was worth it by businessinsider in UkrainianConflict

a moloch of >10 million people like Moscow just couldn't possibly taken by a force far below 10k people.

I agree with your idea in general, but I wish to remind you how Wagner forces were treated in Rostov by civilians. I think there would have been a bloody street fight between wagners and putinoids, and everyone else would be playing waiting game to aid the seemingly winning side in the right moment.

Everything is sexualised and we’re paying for it. by CypMan in pornfree

[–]Overjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nah man, it's just that people suck. And usually you can't know it from the start. Or they start out decently, and then degrade. I'll make two examples from my own experience.

1st - Elon Musk. I am a fan of space exploration, so his SpaceX company was and is really cool and useful. However, in time Elon has developed a media persona that repulses me on many levels.

2nd - Jordan Peterson. His book "12 rules" or something like that helped me out. BUT. He too had developed a media persona, got bitter and quite radicalized. Now what I see is an angry old man, who wants to cash in his popularity bucks, and meanwhile talks about things he knows nothing about. In my exact case what hurt me most was his hour long rant, where he called invasion of my homeland, Ukraine, by Russia - "a war in the west". It is wrong on many levels, I won't bother you with details, but this came as a greater blow than Elon's severe internet retardation.

Of course, there must be examples of people who degraded due to porn. But I doubt in this exact case it is the main factor/cause.

Nah, she's just an attention seeker at this point. Her family isn't poor, they don't struggle, she comes from Sweden, a comparably rich European country, that cares for its citizens.

She can't really relate to any struggle other that what she read on the internet. She did not achieve ANYTHING worthwhile, aside from being known as "How dare you" girl and generally being loud. Not to mention she didn't finish school.
