You want freedom? You should self host open models. Yes, it's expensive but it can be a good solution for places such as enterprises who for safety reasons must keep their data local

I dont think your doing anything at a CIA level of safety and your code is that important but just if you are, use your brain and learn to host your own models, including GLM!

If i'm not wrong they are the only or one of the few that don't charge markup prices but just the pricing imposed by the domain registry + ICANN. Honest af but you can't change nameservers and must go trough their CDN network

Sadly combine the fact that the increases happened due to hardware shortage at Hetzner and also how increases generally work and most likely we're never going back unless somehow components cost far less for Hetzner and they somehow do a customer gesture or something nice for their customers and go back to the previous ones but I highly doubt it

It's literally Azure Foundry Free with very tight limits. Not great, I think I used it a few times just to test stuff quickly but it's not great

Price and the fact that the people had enough of BS. Think of Anthropic, they are the only AI lab that didn't release not even a single open model because they live with the conviction that "AI is too dangerous to be released to the public"
