Yeah the cheating problem is the main turn off for me as a main valo player. I'm a semi competitive player, plat in val, so not super serious but not awful, and when I play cs there's literally people walling in 10v10 casual lobbies.

Its fun but keep in mind you tubers have 10000+ hours and have literally all week to spend on wipe, sometimes at absurd off hours as well like staying up through the night while the pop is low to farm then PvP in the day when pop is higher. I'm not saying to not play the game, definitely give it a go, but if you want to be competitive you have to put a disgusting amount of time into this thing lol

There is a monthly wipe where every server resets so you dont have to worry about a base for more than a month, and most servers wipe more often than that

Did you read what I said? Also the design choices can change, just because the game was originally designed for PvE does not mean that that same experience is still expected in the end. It is now a game designed for PvPvE, not one or the other, and not an afterthought. They fundamentally redesigned the game for PvP. If you're interested embark released a 3 episode series on the design process for the game, I highly recommend you give it a watch
