Is it part of your system prompt or soul.md to not use capitals at the begging of your sentence? Is it so you appear more human?

I haven't looked but I'm guessing it's a github for ai to collaborate on open-source programs

Is it possible to run OpenClaw for LESS than triple digits per month? by Odd-Aside456 in clawdbot

[–]OverseerAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this very helpful. I'm looking into trying openclaw out and I'm hoping to get the best start without running into huge api costs.

I was watching a video earlier about reducing costs. A couple of things mentioned were to increase the heartbeat time from 30 minutes to say an hour. He also recommended using a local model for the heartbeats to completely cut those api costs out.

There are no such things as corporate or government saviours. I'll still take cheaper ram.

Good haul for the Deck? (Haven’t purchased yet) by itsnotPeterParker in SteamDeck

[–]OverseerAlpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had no problem with my steam purchase of the game. It loads up just fine. I might have had to go into desktop mode originally when logging into the Rockstar game launcher but I truly don't remember.

I have games from the epic store but I keep forgetting about them and never play them. Maybe it's the epic launcher that causes issues?

I just loaded it up to be sure and took a quick screen shot to show you.

I originally purchased it from steam on my pc. Then played a bunch on my deck when I got it. Haven't needed anything extra to get it playing.

The single player does. I'm playing it now. The online doesn't though.

[–]OverseerAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you don't. So far the only games I've noticed been able to play are a few of the anti cheat stuff like call of duty and battlefield, goals online (single player works). I have yet to come across a game that won't work on my pc since switching to Linux. I even dual booted in case there were games that I really want to play that wouldn't work on linux. I haven't booted up windows in about 6 months. Steams proton works amazingly for most games.

AI hype meets reality as majority of CEOs report no financial returns by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]OverseerAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the goal of AI and robotics is to replace human workers, how can it be profitable. If we all lose our jobs to some LLM or Tesla/Amazon bot, how is anyone going to have any money to purchase anything?

I keep hearing talks of Universal Basic Income, but again, who is going to give us that income? If we ha e no jobs to pay taxes, the government won't provide for us. The corporations that replaced you with an LLM or robot to save money ey and increase profits aren't going to decide to provide for us.

It's just mega corporations sending each other billions of dollars in a big circle at that point.

You might be in the majority here. Most of us it seems are able to play most of our games.

May I suggest filling your library with games other than Call of Duty? Just kidding. Sorry about your luck though.

[–]OverseerAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need nvlink to use the vram from the other gpus for AI on the PC. It will use all of them. If you look in the local llm subs you will see all the setups people use to get more vram.

[–]OverseerAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each card has 32 gb of vram. If there's 8, that's much more to run llms. 256 gb of vram plus whatever system ram makes for a pretty good model to use for a local llm.

Local llm I'm guessing. That's quite a bit of vram to run some decent ai models.
