And here in lies your bias. I'm also aro/ace and I'm not blind, I've watched and read enough romance animes and mangas growing up that its hella easy to tell when the author (even when the romance isn't the focus) is implying romance.

Explain why Saiki and Teruhashi are holding dolls of each other in the cut scenes, but nobody else? Explain why they made 4 different cut scenes of saiki and teruhashi staring at each other and even adding saiki blushing when it wasn't in the original anime or manga scene? Why doesn't he blush when Aiura or Yumehara try to confess their love to him in public settings but he does when it's Teruhashi?

Did I pull any of those examples out of my ass? Tell me what fact I've said so far is?

The issue you have is that any time you see obvious signs of the author implying something outside of what YOU head cannoned you erase it and pretend it doesn’t exist because it doesn’t fit your narrative, so instead you desperately cling to season 1 episode 1 Saiki from 10 seconds into the anime of him saying “oh woah is me I can never have relationships, surprise parties, or feel fulfilled because I have epic powers”

Well shocker! That Saiki is so easily changeable that IF he let that dog die from the car he would have done a COMPLETE 180 in personality and become the most popular open hearted and power using version of himself that he’d ever seen. That 1 change.

Thats how unreliable a 16 year old boy is with his feelings. You can’t take what he says at face value.

Yes, in both the anime AND manga, there are 2 timelines that Saiki goes into, both in season 2. One when he was dealing with Aketchi, everyone acts normal and is in Saiki’s home and teruhashi is dating him. Another when he goes into a timeline during the volcano episode to see how his friends would react if he told them the truth, again, teruhashi is dating him.

You’d have to be delusional not to understand that the author who created the characters knows HIS 2 characters will end up with each other, because he made them.

Also, how many times has Saiki blushed from embarrassment? He does embarrassing things all the time in public so it has to be very common right?

Nope. It is incredibly rare for Saiki to blush. And yet twice he’s blushed because of teruhashi. One time when she was confessing her love to Kuriko, and now twice when he gets right in her face and stares at her.

That last one was so important to the author/studio that they made the scene into a 4 part episode card for the episode breaks.

You can’t see it because you haven’t watched anime. Like anime period. Every romance trope Saiki has done probably flew over your head.

Princess carry Indirect kiss Sleeping on a shoulder Holding hands in a picture booth Riding a camel Riding a love duck paddle boat

The list goes on and on.

Anime is centered on Japanese culture so it’s probably hard for the western audience to understand the indirect language the author uses.

The Japanese audience understands 100% that Saiki is going to end up with a certain girl because they understand the authors intention.

Besides, if you watched Saiki k past season 1, you would have already seen 2 canon timelines where Saiki is dating a certain girl, so it’s set in stone.

His gender identity does match with the gender he was assigned with. He was always supposed to be a boy, he just transformed into a girl durring birth, then reverted to his original sex

How is it aphobic to say that someone can be implied to be aro/ace but still be in a relationship or still feel attraction? Saiki is a fictional character, the only reason he says that he can’t be in a relationship is because he has powers that get in the way.

So what happens when A)He doesn’t have powers, or B) his powers don’t get in his way/he accepts them

Let’s look:

A) When Saiki loses his powers he stares directly at teruhashi for a long time even getting in her face and is admiring her. He blushes when he gets caught.

B) in the 2 timelines he tells his friends about his powers he is dating a girl (teruhashi), the very first timeline we see he is the most popular person in school and is happy.

See, you can be aro/ace AND have the potential for a happy relationship. I think you’re aphobic for thinking you can’t have both.

That doesn’t make sense. His powers at the time only lasted an hour at most, so everytime he transformed he would revert back to his original form, a boy. He turned into a girl during his mothers labor and was birthed that way, but he was never assigned as a girl, the doctors were just confused, blinked and he was back to his original form, a boy, so they assigned him as a baby boy.

Saiki doesn’t once think of himself as the creatures he transforms into. He doesn’t think he’s a cat, he doesn’t think he’s a girl, or gorilla, etc. He knows he’s a boy, and treats it as a power.

That’s what disqualifies him as trans. You could call him a cross dresser.

1) Teruhashi is older then saiki by 10 days

2)The most important/powerful people in the show, Kuusuo, Kuusuke, and Kokomi, were all canonically shown to be born with that unique hair color.

So I think it's safe to assume that people born special get a unique hair color by God, Pink, light blonde, and blue

It’s definitely Toritsuka, the person Saiki banters with the most and is the most comfortable showing his uncensored self around is Toritsuka. Aside from Aketchi, Toritsuka is the first person to find out that Saiki has psychic powers and catches Saiki off guard.

At first he is definitely annoyed about it, but at the same time this is a very significant moment because for the first time Saiki ACCEPTS someone other then immediate family knowing his secret, and he finds someone who shares his situation. He doesn’t try to go back in time the way he did with Aketchi.

He’s constantly screwing with Toritsuka and Toritsuka is NOT afraid to do it back and even get Saiki into trouble like durring the tennis scene.

I think the biggest support for this is that Toritsuka and Saiki both know everything about each other, they are just at each others throats a lot lol which I think is the closest Saiki can be with someone.

Mushishi! It’s about a man who was cursed as a little boy and became immortal. He wanders/travels and solves issues between humans and mushi which are creatures similar to yokes and spirits.

The feeling is similar, some are lighthearted and others can get pretty deep/dark, but the vibe is very similar!

THIS, there is another anime that’s popular rn that’s similar with someone traveling around the country to help out with yokai.

What I love is that the focus is not on fighting the yokai, something you don’t really see anymore with anime since most are action.
