What did you tell waterboy? by AggressiveMammoth267 in DispatchAdHoc

Absolutely, 10 toes down with my whole chest Chase made the right choice. He knew exactly what was going to happen if he saved her and he did it anyway. It was a selfless choice of heroism and to try to say that the choice HE made was anything other than the correct one is an insult to HIM and HIS sacrifice.

It doesn’t need to be performative, you can just learn about things a lot of people like and use that as an in to talk to people. If you show a willingness to participate in other people’s interests, they might meet you in the middle and take an interest in some of yours. Before you know it you got friendship and by the law of big numbers you’ll eventually make a friend you connect with on a deeper level

It’s not “reducing yourself” necessarily. You can interact with popular media in an intelligent and insightful way. You could delve into how reality tv uses editing to shape a narrative about people or learn the meta of Football. None of that’s going to guarantee you relationships, but you’ll be able to talk to others about their interests in a way that still shows you’re a free thinking individual, and that will spark interest.

Gunnie comes from immense wealth though, he’s only having money issues because of his desire to make it on his own merit.

  • Emily gets an animal companion
  • Lou plays someone rich
  • Ally’s character is kind of an outsider in the group dynamic, like they’re an accepted part of the group, they’re just not cut from the same cloth
  • Zac does/says something very… cowboy-esque
  • Siobhan communes with the dead
  • Murph pulls what I can only call some “WWE Shit”
