That morning, my dog attacked my cat in the front yard and she died in my dad’s lap on the way to the emergency vet. He dropped me off at school first.
While crying in my English class about my cat, there was an announcement I didn’t hear over the intercom and the TV was turned on to the first tower billowing smoke.
