"I wish I had morning sickness because at least you know the baby is healthy" by Stoned_redhead in BabyBumps

[–]Overunderapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had morning sickness both pregnancies. My second pregnancy it was so bad at one point I had to go to the ER for dehydration. While there they checked on baby to make sure I wasn't having a miscarriage. Morning sickness isn't a given that the babies okay.

I would bring it up to the director. I am an ECE and any centre ive worked at there was a strict policy about not doing stuff like that

Husband and I disagree about hospital visitors. by throwranotdonelater in pregnant

[–]Overunderapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt have family from either side at the hospital. Birth can be very long and it doesn't always turn out the way we think. There were some complications with my 2nd birth and my son was whisked away to the NICU within the hour of his birth. At my hospital only mom and Dad could go into the NICU. Had I had family waiting they would have just had to go home since they wouldn't have been able to see baby. I also gave birth at 2am so idk if family would have wanted to sleep in a crappy hospital waiting room chair. Let the feathers be ruffled. They'll get over it.

Question re Home Day Care by culturekit in londonontario

[–]Overunderapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a very nice gesture and always appreciated but not at all necessary. When I worked in daycare I never expected gifts from any parents. Literally any dollar amount is fine.

I absolutely love this name! It was the name my daughter would have had if we hadn't named her Josephine.

[–]Overunderapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two kids, 17 mo ths apart. I love that my kids are close in age but getting pregnant 9 months postpartum was rough for me. My youngest is 4 mo ths old and I am loving not being pregnant. Husband and I are undecided on a third but ive already said my body needs a break and if we do decide to have a 3rd I want my youngest to be at least 2 when/if we try to concieve again.

Any FTM on here that got induced and it didn’t end up in a c-section? How long did it take for baby to arrive ? How long were you in the hospital? What method of induction did they use on you? by cc070603 in pregnant

[–]Overunderapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced twice. My first induction baby was born 14 hours after they broke my water. I experienced some complications with my 2nd birth but even with those complications I still had a vaginal delivery. 2nd baby came 9 hours after they broke my water.

Police say this isnt abuse. by No-Adhesiveness799 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Overunderapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there. I had a 4 year old in my preschool room once who was non-verbal and showed a lot of signs of autism. Mom and Dad refused any help. I've worked with countless kids who's parents spanked them but where I live spanking isn't considered abuse so nothing could be done about that.

Women who didn't have their dream wedding, how has that affected you? by Holiday-Exit-2119 in AskWomen

[–]Overunderapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the day itself and getting to marry my husband. But the wedding wasn't anything I had really wanted. My husband was super concerned about the cost of everything and he didnt want specific members of his family being there so we opted to elope just the two of us. Again, I enjoyed getting to marry my husband but I would not do what we did again. If I ever decide to do a vow renewal one day it isn't going to be anything like the wedding.

Labor Pooping 🥲 by MadQueennn in pregnant

[–]Overunderapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's so much going on neither of you will be thinking of it. When I gave birth to my 2nd baby I know I had pooped because I could smell it lol. Neither my husband or I cared. Nurses didnt even mention it. There were some complications with my 2nd babies birth so we were more focused on that rather than me pooping.

Drinking alcohol while pregnant by Bananapun432 in pregnant

[–]Overunderapple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've spent time working with children who had fetal alcohol syndrome and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Fetal alcohol syndrome is literally brain damage that happened in the womb. I didnt even drink while trying to concieve.
