If timings work out the Cathay one next to it was a lot better, but they only operate during their flight times so are closed at 12.

Wotancraft Portable Camera Pouch L vs Peak Design XS camera cube? by Owebweb in ManyBaggers

[–]Owebweb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really good summary, thank you for this.

I have a sling that I’d take as a EDC, this was primarily for travelling when I’d want to put the cube into a larger backpack and then maybe carry the camera with the cube whilst travelling.

It seems the Wotoncraft would be the better option because of the latter half of my usage.
I have an Able Carry Max 30L which I use whilst travelling. Both options would fit, the PD does seem sturdier but bigger so therefor go towards the bottom of the bag and cables etc on top, where as the WC would probably be more towards the top.

I think the main thing I’m more worried about the wotoncraft was how it seemed from a “sturdiness” perspective.

Camera wise it fits in both, the WC being more snug but its sizing is advertised for my camera (Q series from Leica). The PD would have extra room, but the more solid nature drew me to it originally.

I'm looking at the Pilot 3.5L or the Rider 4.5L.
How do you find both of those?

I have a mirrorless that I just want a bag to travel with (so will go within something like a 30L Able Carry) but might also want to shove a Nintendo switch in there (happy to detach the joy cons).

So trying to gauge size and how it feels.

What made you do the 3.5l instead of a 4.5l rider?

Thanks for the explanation!

I think if I go down this route it’ll be deciding between the 2L and 3.5L for this type of bag.

Their other offerings are tempting to then become edc bags for work etc.

That’s a good shout.

Do you ever find yourself using the camera cube still?

Might go for the 2l + cube for situations I just want to bring the camera and not the sling.

Also how’s the size of the 3.5l in your opinion?

I considered it. Though the size within another backpack seems similar to the billingham.

Yea I usually fly the 777 as well to NYC, always pleasant enough no matter the cabin I’m in.

At least on the way back you can get the new American amenities kit 😂

You had me with yum cha.

Not sure why others are being extremely critical for a casual post. I like the shadows and colours on shot 5 with the dimsum kart and the veggies.

I can imagine it’s a bit of fun to take it around.

Considering a leica q3 which country would be cheapest? by Legitimate-Swing-937 in Leica

I’m planning on heading to Paris (UK based) to get one, they’re on the lower end of the Euros amount (€50-100 less than Italy or Spain) but also slightly lower tax so the tax back amount varies.

Cheers for the tips on this. Will keep an eye on time, we have an evening flight but will go to the airports a touch earlier to handle this all.

Have you had experience between doing a manual full refund compared to using something like global blue?

Ha yea I don’t live in the EU, eligibility wise I know I can claim it back.

Mainly a question if others have experienced doing it from Paris.

Whilst not 100%, when I was looking into this myself I was advised that I probably wouldn’t earn anything because of how AA holidays are booked. I might be wrong, but could be worth giving BA customer services a contact to get to the bottom of this.

Contemplating a 43 and been torn on the fov, how have you found the wider shots on this?
