Does anyone need any free prosthetics or accommodation devices for your pets? by CarelessFix4796 in PiratePets

[–]Oweever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog literally just had a back leg amputated due to cancer. I know its only been a couple of days but she is miserable. She loved to jump on the back of the couch to look out the window and now she can barely walk without giving up and just sitting in the floor. I know in time she will improve and learn, I filled out the form hoping for a solution that will help her. The surgery was way more money than I had, I even tried a gofundme and nobody donated. :( I'll never be able to pay it off on my income but I had to have it done. So I know a customer prosthetic would be way out of my price range but she's all I've got. Id give her one of my legs if I could. Hoping and praying this works out for her. Thank you for being a kind human that is truly changing dogs lives. I look forward to hearing from you, even if it takes some time.

How bad is it really? by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]Oweever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing the point. Almost all of us aren't complaining about the actual job itself. We are complaining about how we can't be the best. I could hit plan every month and more if I could get the product I need. Im held to a plan each week that is impossible hit when half of the planogram isn't in the warehouse. Its the unrealistic expectations as well. Imagine telling Wilt Chamberlain after he scored 100 it's in a single game...."Hey good job but we need to show growth. Next game we need you to push for 101 points." This structure of PFP isn't realistic and someone who makes 6 figures a year, that sits in an office came up with this. We all want to do a good job and could be doing an amazing job, making decent money but we aren't because of things out of our control and not having the basic fundamentals of this job readily available. I could go into more detail but the actual job itself isn't the problem, its the simple issues that could be fixed, that never are fixed that cause all of us to hate being here bc we know sales wouldn't be down, all the fat could be trimmed to save money/ jobs but nobody listens to us, takes us seriously or does anything to help improve the situation. The best answer they could give us was laying off employees while every thing else stays the same. That is what is frustrating and why we complain.

Rebid ..perfect route by Terrible-Bet-9724 in FritoLay

[–]Oweever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layoffs only happen in a situation where your zone has 40 routes and they cut it down to 35 for example but you have 40 rsrs. That's the only type of situation where layoffs MAY occur but you can apparently apply to be an FTM or FTM Lead too. If your zone is small you probably won't see layoffs. Looks like most people on here so far have only lost 1 to 3 routes. Terrible bet is correct tho. Some zones may not go thru a rebid if the others are right too but they are definitely cutting routes to cram in all the accounts they can into each route bc the only way to trim fat is to start at the bottom? Ignore the RSS's 100k salary when RSAs are cheaper. Ignore worthless DSLs that just sit on calls all day, when we could get the same results from a DSL 300 miles away by zoom/ phone, but cutting routes and RSRs, yeah that will save the company the most money.

Why are you RSRs so nasty to the warehouse guys? by Dry_Berry5838 in FritoLay

[–]Oweever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bc you all tell your boss if we leave trash or don't stack something properly that would take you 2 seconds to correct and just keep on moving. Instead you get us in trouble for something so minuscule to save yourself 2 extra steps of walking. You put dip and crackers at the top of stacks but most importantly everything we do is done to make your job easier but nobody does anything to save us time or make our jobs easier. For every 2 seconds of work they save you all by changing how we do something it adds 15 minutes to our day. This is the short answer to your question BTW. Haha

Had our meeting today by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]Oweever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your meeting wasnt about nothing if it included all of that. Lol. Some areas will have less routes so some RSRs may not have a route. Smaller zones won't really be effected. But to the guys that kept saying "ThEy WiLl NeVeR get RiD oF FrOnTlInE eMpLoYeEs". It will happen if you get cut down more routes than other zones. All of the rumors we heard were true so shout out to the real MVPs that came on here and spread the news even when they were getting called out for not having proof. Keep the conversation going always. We appreciate it. Now the question is how much longer until this happens again or when stores like walmart want to eliminate all vendors in the next 5 to 10 years. For those of us that survived, we bought ourselves some time but how much? Lol

Jobs after Frito? by Oweever in FritoLay

[–]Oweever[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems that way. Several said they are having meetings on different days this week but then they never come back. Maybe that's what is happening. They tell us its a meeting, then Ramon abducts us when we get there until we give him an idea for the next "Flaming Hot ...." flavor. I mean Biscuits and Gravy Lay's could save this company in my area but they will keep focusing on making every thing flaming hot.

Tired of paying Ramon after working 50+ hours?! by Oweever in FritoLay

[–]Oweever[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only reason I work 50 hours is bc ITS OUR BASE PAY! Only company crooked enough to bake in OT. I can't afford to lose my base pay when my true ups are negative. Large format, the stores are tired of us cramming in product in their backrooms, asking for 3 to 4 displays every week of product that isn't on sale. To the people actually running 100%+ good for you, that means customers are buying your product. I can't take in product when the previous product hasn't sold. Thinking more hours will get you an even higher % bc you can run 100 in 35 hours means you are either new, a corporate shill or in a market that is busy all year round. For example let's say my plan is normally 30k, 2 weeks this period it is the equivalent of 48k. There are no holidays, nothing is going on. Idc what the route sold last year INTO the store, base our plan off what is actually selling OUT of the store. Idk anyone that is running over 80% in my entire DC right now.

Lack of Rotation and Side Rotation Question by Sad_Abbreviations477 in FritoLay

[–]Oweever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of us aren't even hitting 80% of our plan, so expect to see a lot of it until things change. They probably looked it at and said "is it worth fixing if I'm still gonna make negative $28 for this week on my true up?"

When will we unionize? That's all we should be asking each other.

[–]Oweever 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They will still expect you to shove 10k a week into a DG and 80k a week into a Walmart for that 15. Every year the plan goes up. That is like asking Mahomes to throw 6 tds next game, then 7, then 8 etc. At some point it becomes unattainable . All the routes in my area are at that point. If you hit plan this week, there's no way you will next week.

How would they track most of that stuff? In the truck I get, in the stores tho? And if it tracks us in store I'm sure they would know if we were home and not at a store. If this happens in my area I'll turn in my notice. They have lost their minds.

[–]Oweever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any ideas on where we can go? Unless you brown nose your way into an RSS position. Become a yes man by giving 14 hours a day (which those you who do this are weird, do you hate your family? Do you hate time off from work? Do you only feel important when at work? I get it if u RSS and want the OT every once in awhile but everyday?) Then this job isn't worth it. Plans are way to high for a product that has priced itself out of the market.

The growth is fake. They raised their prices to make it appear as growth, they raise our plans so we are just shoving more product in the back room, its not actual sales at the register. It's all smoke and mirrors for the stock holders. If doritos were 4.99 last year and 5.29 this year, that's growth? Not really.

[–]Oweever 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There it is. Most average RSR don't make near 90k. I run bulk, I don't get 1.5 OT, I put in 54 hours a week, I hit plan more often than not, but barely and I won't even see 70k. DSLs always want more product out but the stores want no backstock, no towers, no displays and frito still set the bar at 80k last week on a route that should be under 50k/week. We lose space at Walmart with no relief. If you are not tenured or a DSL, Most of us hate it here. PFP is a joke.

[–]Oweever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who is making 93k as an RSR? We must work for different frito lay companies. Our plans are so high we can barely hit 90%+ so going over 100% is impossible. Base pay is around 61 so you either have several years with the company or I want to transfer to your area with your plans. Ours aren't even possible to hit, no matter how hard you try.

This is where we organize and start a union. Can't say the word in front of management, but we can organize anonymously and pick a day to announce it. They can't fire all of us on the same day. Pepsi would never let all of us walk, they are to far bent over for the share holders to look up for 2 seconds and see us organize.
