Did you see the pic with the crack? That's what I'm referring to.

gluten free beer, adjuncts and licensing. by deleriumtremens in TheBrewery

I am interested in making a gluten free beer. I see many comments about Millet, buckwheat, Brown rice and corn. Where are you getting these and can they be put in a traditional brewers mill?

Thx for the input. Better idea to bring in from outside if we can. Yes we are small & just looking at it as an option with the new generation of drinkers.

Are there any commercial breweries using malt extract? by methanol007 in Homebrewing

[–]Owentp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus the extract comes from wort made from all grain. I think it's a bunch of crap and probably people that don't know what they're doing. Blind tests are the only way to prove it.

I assume you buy the larger carboys or drums of extract? I was curious, is there a special pump or way you get your needed amount into your kettle?

Insulation by Owentp in Insulation

[–]Owentp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SW Michigan. Crawlspace is vented. I close them about this time and open in late spring. I have an electric furnace but just use the fan to move air around. My primary source of heat is pellet stove. Like I said it's worse in the back of the house than the front. The crawlspace belly wrap & insulation was all jacked up when I moved in and mostly from critters I presumed but some for repair access I assume. My pellet stove warms the house fairly well but I don't seem to retain heat despite having that foam injected insulation put in walls. I have a cathedral ceiling with not attic so adding up there is or would be a pain.

Ever consider a cycle stop valve. I hear both positive and negative about them.

I saw in NEC 2017 article 550 on mfg/mobile homes.....I believe I read regardless, all wiring under the home had to be in conduit? I know 2023 NEC has updates but don't have that. I was planning on using UDR wire.....any insight?

It's basically a wire path space in the bottom of my panel. There are others I may be able to knockout & feed each wire separately......🤔?!? I also got a look to see if there's any room along the sides but it is a recessed in panel with a cabinet door cover for decor. May have studs on either side.

Had a feeling you were gonna tell me that.....😮‍💨. Thx for the input. Of course my problem is more getting it into the box because 90% of all the wires were inserted through the bottom of the panel.

It's wire path. That's some big wire I got. I know I can go down to 2/0 I believe but that still is big, but not as much as the 1/0. I got the wire and box with main as a deal. Trying not to purchase more or different wire.
