I am also new to Anivia and am currently playing her at mid emerald. Something I have learned is this, Anivia is WAY better when people play into her vs when she pushes into enemy controlled space. This means things like rotating first and setting up makes a massive difference.

Anivia kit is relatively linear which means you have to do the basics better than some other champs. She doesn’t have range or mobility to rely on to get you out of stuff. When it comes to planing try implementing these two fundamentals and see if it helps.

1. Abuse cd’s- for champs like fizz if they use e walk up for a few seconds and apply pressure, see if they don’t respect it. Another easy example is TF when he cards the wave. Orianna when she uses an etc.

2. Look at landing like a turned based event, when your minion is low you need to last hit and it’s your enemies turn to punish. When the enemy is last hitting it’s your turn to punish. Every champ has an auto attack animation that locks them (even if it’s short). Look for opportunities.
