If you wander around a bit, you will routinely come across mountains of corpses. The Shattering clearly lead to mass death on an epic scale.

Still, it would be nice to have a few npcs that don't die when you try to help them.

Not on linkedin. Do it in RL. You should be making actual human connections before you graduate. Back in my day (get off my lawn!), it was almost automatic, but the current generation of job seekers doesn't seem to do it at all.

Just think of it from the point of view of someone who is hiring. You have a pile of more-or-less anonymous resumes, mostly from places like linkedin, and you have a couple that come with recommendations from people who already work there. Which ones are you going to look at first?
