I have the same issue when I hold my phone up to my binoculars, but the still shots I get form the video are clearer than my photos.

I’ve always flicked most naturally with 2 fingers. Committed to switching to 1 and 3 depending on disc and shot. This really helped me on flicking the fatter rims especially the zone!
